Have you contacted your local MP or spoken to Age UK and/or Citizen's Advice.
When people like Social Services try to shut you up, you need to shout louder, not just about what happened at the time, but about what has happened since.
After what has happened to you I think you may need a solicitor to support your case. I appreciate that this may be beyond your finances, but some solicitors take on 'pro bono' work. Work for free because the particular case has wider repercussions.
You need to contact the charity www.lawworks.org.uk/ and/or probonoconnect.co.uk/case-studies/ .
Whilr, obviously, we cannot get directly involved with the terrible thing that happened to you and its direct consequences. We can provide a metaphorical shoulder for you to cry on and compassionate listeners when you want to vent.
I totally agree with your opinion of Social Services. I had run ins with them when looking after relations. Someone was discharged from hospital with a frame round the loo, but no means of getting out of the chair the ambulance men put her in and no walking frame to enable her to get there and no carer due to visit for 6 hours. Small problem compared with what happened to you.
