Some words , snow on snow , makes me feel quite nostalgic for winter , no I didn"t mean that give me lots of rays good for the old bones . Forgive me imjingl but what did you mean by seeing that later . I know I can be a muppet , but I don"t know ??
Does anyone else remember singing at Sunday School "Maytime"...........
Sing a song of Maytime, sing a song of spring, Fflowers are in their beauty, birds are on the wing, Maytime, Platime, sing a song of Maytime, Thank Him for his gifts of love, Sing a Song of Spring.
Can't recall the next verse! Can you track that down imjingl? More in keeping with calendar than weather 5.5' here at the moment!
Oh you all choose such lovely hymns. My favourite is hymn 59 from my school hymnbook, There is a Green Hill Far Away. I've asked for it at my funeral.
I also agree with those who like Make me a Channel of Your Peace, Oh Jesus I have promised and Bind us together Lord.
I have to help son and fiancee choose for their wedding but must take into consideration that there won't be a choir and only about 60 people so it needs to be something a lot of people will know. How do you think it would go down if we sent a link to YouTube and asked people to learn it beforehand!!!??
Ask your DS and fiancee what they remember from Primary school. We've found that those hymns have stuck in people's heads and are therefore familiar. "One more step* is very suitable and has such a good tune that people pick it up fast. jeni's suggestion is very good too!!
Mamardoit We had Love Divine and Praise my Soul the King of Heaven at our wedding, also Oh Perfect Love. On reflection I don't like any of them. I must admit to not having heard the version with the Welsh music. Both DH and I are half Welsh.
nonu that is my husband's favourite, makes him go all gooey. Jeni love that one too, my son used to think it was 'sing Susanna' because that was one of his friends.
