Hurrah for the Jubilee celebrations. What a wonderful day. We are very good at coping with( or ignoring )the rain. Well done Her Majesty. Still more to come. On Tuesday we will be at Layer Marney Tower in Essex welcoming her majesty, Queen Elizabeth 1st., with faeries ,tumblers, a Tudor picnic, juggling and Tudor games,Musicians and dancing. Come rain or shine!

Yes it was great - however, I think I have always been a little deaf (long story) and I ALWAYS got things wrong, so chinese whispers was quite difficult for me, but great fun for everyone else! smile

Hunt yes I remember it but hasten to add I was not there at the time!

Kitty my DH bought me tickets to see Alfie Boe for my birthday, really looking forward to it.

I think Paul McCartney is singing at the Olympics closing ceremony. Over-exposure, surely.

Let's hope he mimes.

Merlotgran
- perfect choices for retirements - why do they all go on just too long and why do the men gradually look more and more mummified. Tom Jones and Grace Jones are the exceptions. Hula hoop anyone?

Just seen a tweet that the D of E has been admitted to hospital for an exploratory operation on his abdomen. No wonder he was not looking 100%

Poor old chap. I hope it's something straightforward they can easily fix.

Thanks Elegran.

Elegran Thu 06-Jun-13 20:54:56

He is no spring chicken. I hope he is OK.

Jingle we knew something wasn't right with D of E but I'm sorry that we have been proved right and hope he can pull through this latest problem.

He is 92!
Good luck to him.
My sympathy and prayers for him and the Queen.
She must be terribly upset and worried.

harrigran Thu 06-Jun-13 23:28:00

He did look unwell at the service the other day. Not many men his age still working.

I do hope he gets well soon , however it does pose the question , should anything happen to him how she will cope ?

Might even have a cocktail later , who knows ? grin grin
