Everyone seems to be on the move - have a wonderful time all of you. I'm off to our daughter's tomorrow to return her dog who's been on holiday with us while she and family have been in France. (hey Annodomini do you sail? Greatnan needs an accomplice to go flotilla sailing in Greece!)

Spent another hour trying to log on to the HMRC website to complete my self assessment! Eventually spoke to a really helpful young man , from NE of England, who took me step by step through the process so he could see exactly my dilemma.... I was not such an idiot after all... phew! Now have to wait for another password to be sent by post because I apparently registered on the site in 2003 when I had a different email address. I cannot change my email without the password but I can't get the password because they have the outdated email
address Do they want my tax or not!!

Hope you all have brilliant holidays. I`m off on mine on Saturday...............car permitting, of course!

We are off to Spain on Friday. Had to laugh when my autistic grandson asked, "Are you going uphill or downhill on holiday?". I knew exactly what he meant, I always think of it as downhill on the map too.

Wishing my little grandson had been here, as planned, for my last time with him before he goes to "big school", but at the last minute I had a phone call, to say that his nanny wanted him today. I shouldn`t be mean and begrudge her spending time with him, but when my DIL was pregnant, her mum wasn`t at all pleased, and tried to persuade her to have an abortion.

Absolutely Jeni couldn't agree more. I have one more week left here in Oz and am making the most of it - I probably won't see the 4 gc's or DD2 until next year - everything is relative
