Apart from choosing a new name, I've been slathering Germolene on insect bites - how lovely is that? My new name doesn't make one think of Germolene and insect bites! It's the time of year for these and I'm covered in large itchy bumps...grin

Gally you will be all right, with all the love that is still in your home. Xx

Me - settling in! I am glad that this house feels so right, and we are now turning it into our home. Very busy, but very happy.

But, the wife of the couple from whom we bought the house popped round today - not a problem because we get on very well. She is being very strong. But her DH is still in the stroke unit, her purchase is still not resolved, so she is in a sort of limbo, albeit with friends. I feel so sorry for her, but am obviously even much more aware than ever of how fragile life is. All of you, I know, will endorse this; it has to be in our minds at this stage, and while I know we must make the most of each day, nevertheless I worry. Thanks for listening, my friends. x

Feeling very depressed. Almost suicidal as have had two completely unjustified complaints about me in me in the last two weeks.

harrigran Wed 26-Sept-12 22:03:35

jeni {{{hugs}}} for you too, sometimes life's a bitch.

glassortwo Wed 26-Sept-12 22:03:57

jeni while you were on holiday?

whenim64 Wed 26-Sept-12 22:05:18

jeni what's up. I hope you're ok? flowers it's horrible having complaints made about you, even when they re unjustified. There's a saying that you're not doing your job properly unless you get a couple of complaints a year.

Sbagran Wed 26-Sept-12 22:05:21

flowers flowers flowers Jeni - what a terrible time for you. Please don't get suicidal - they're not worth it. I wish I could make it better. Obviously it isn't that easy as I believe in your role complaints are very serious compared to complaints in other areas. Hang on in there - believe that you are right and you WILL get through. God bless x

MiceElf Wed 26-Sept-12 22:12:54

Jeni, that's horrible. It happens in most professional spheres and it makes you sick to your stomach. It will be resolved but the process is horrid. Im sending sympathy and a prayer (if you want one).

hummingbird Wed 26-Sept-12 22:14:57

Stay strong, Jeni! This malicious sort of behaviour says much more about them than about you. flowers

jeni, how dare they? There's always someone, isn't there? Even when you know you're completely innocent, it leaves a nasty taste. ((((hugs)))) from me - and have a good night's sleep.

whenim64 Wed 26-Sept-12 22:37:39

Sleep well jeni. It'll look different after you have had a night's rest.

annodomini Wed 26-Sept-12 22:44:54

Have just got back from book group. They had read 50 Shades of Grey and there was a good discussion - not always serious, I have to say! As I had downloaded the first few chapters and decided it wasn't for me, I shouldn't really have commented, but when did that ever stop me? To be honest, I had peeked at the 'naughty bits' on a web site that had selected them so that you didn't need to read the whole thing. blush They left me cold.

anneandgraham Wed 26-Sept-12 23:05:55

50 shades was not for me either, bought first 2 books glanced at first then OH took them back to Tesco for me I knew I would not read them, just all the hype.

Today not been that good wet wet wet and we decided to go to local Toby downloaded voucher, trouble is we got held up and arrived as the busy time kicked off queued for ever, was good meal tho, then dearest OH forgot to ouse our voucher lol still have had pleasant and lazy afternoon and evening.

Oldgreymare Wed 26-Sept-12 23:06:13

Soop great get-together lovely pics.
Gally (((hugs)))
Jeni, by the time you read this, I hope you will have had a good night's rest. What is the saying: 'Don't let the b......s grind you down'?

Ariadne Thu 27-Sept-12 04:54:09

jeni you must be feeling attacked by these complaints; I imagine they are from people who don't know the real you, but just have an axe to grind? But I know how hard it can hit you when this happens, because if someone complains about you it feels so personal. The jeni we know is a strong and thoughtful woman, and I'm sure you will rise above it all.

You said somewhere else recently that you are in a lot of pain too with your feet and ankles, so you have a lot to put up with. We are here if you need us! (((hugs))))

Bags Thu 27-Sept-12 05:55:36

The rotten swine, jeni! (That's swine plural, btw). angry Have a good day today. We are behind you along with your boss. Bear that in mind when you think of the swine.

[apology to real Suidae] emoticon

baublesbanglesandb Thu 27-Sept-12 06:07:35

Chin up Jeni, what a horrible position to be in. I hope it's resolved quickly.

Bags Thu 27-Sept-12 06:11:41
