No, this is not about bereavement, but perhaps a similar feeling of "Was it something I/we said?" I too have tried to pm a GNetter only to be told that is not a valid nickname, so susiecb and littlenellie why did you go?
Of course it is your prerogative and I don't mean to be nosey, but it is sad, especially when you suspect there might be trouble at home and can no longer send support. So if either of you is out there under a different name - I wish you well and still hope it wasn't something we said flowers

I`ll rely on them that know regarding a venue in Kings Lynn, I`ve only been shopping there and lunched at a chippy, so don`t know anywhere else!

I was here from pretty much the beginning of Gransnet.. but I have to admit to floating in and out. Life commitments just get in the way sometimes. But I do like to come back and stir it up now and then.

Ditto Helshea, well the bit about life getting in the way!

annodomini Sun 21-Oct-12 19:02:27

No, jane - hadn't you noticed my frequent appearances? And I am not the only other one!

Marelli Sun 21-Oct-12 19:28:27

And me, me, me too! Helshea and Diva - good to see you posting again. I changed my name a few months ago, but was there from the beginning as well.

I confess - I have been suffering withdrawal symptoms because I am away from home and the connection in the apartment here is patchy.
It is not just the fun of chatting though - I have made some very real friends through Gransnet, some of whom I have had the pleasure of meeting. If I lived in England, I would probably travel long distances to join in the meetings. (I drove 414 miles last week to get from the Alps to the Pyrenees, so a couple of hundred miles would not deter me!)
