Oh I have just sat down first time today, the family are all in the front room having a movie night. The DGC have been allowed to have a bath and then come back down (unheard off coming downstairs after their bath, mummy runs a strict routine), to watch a movie and have popcorn.........soooooooooo as I hate movies I have the luxury of a couple of hours peace smile I am sat with a glass of red mmmmmmm.

What are you all up to?

I've had DGD with her retinue all day! Daddy mended the two electric problems I had, while DD disapproved of the fact that DGD wanted granny to play with the iPad with her.
In the end since M was fractious and mummy was getting stressed, she played with M on the iPad.!

Sitting here in an old dressing gown next to Hubby who is watching football, I think I'll pretend I'm all dressed up and waiting for a taxi full of friends to take me to a nightclub. I'm just off now to imagine what I'm wearing (something rather striking without being obvious).

I am sitting in the study back to back with DH, suits me fine.

My OH is away in France until tomorrow night, my DS2 and family + dog have come up to stay until tomorrow morning, so have had a lovely day with them. Introduced DS2 and DiL to Montalbano after GC in bed, not altogether sure what they thought of it - maybe an acquired taste wink

Off to bed now moon all

Who IS this Montalbano person?

crimson Sat 20-Oct-12 23:48:59

Sicilian [?] detective series on 4; haven't got into it myself. Can't wait for the next [and last] series of The Killing, though.

Thanks Crimson.

Sorry petallus, I'd not been attending to things and missed your post! Yes, it was 'Imagine', and it was a really good programme! I tried to concentrate on Montalbano, but was chatting/texting to Lurkio on my phone, so missed most of the plot - and because of the subtitles, you really do need to look at the screen. number, I think you'd like the programme - if you've not got catch-up you'll find it repeated on Tuesday at 12.25am! I'm going to watch it on Catch-up today. I don't mind having a double-dose of Montalbano! grin

Just caught up with last night. I invited a friend round to share my little pheasant. She came at 5 and left at 11 - we never stopped talking at all. She's nearly 80, just back from a week in NY with her daughters and plans to come with me next time I go to Sydney! Amazing. I hope I'm like her when I get to 80 wink

Marelli Sun 21-Oct-12 11:00:10

I think it's very likely, Gally!! grin

Last night's Montalbano was rather sad wasn't it? Just a thought. sad

soop Sun 21-Oct-12 12:19:08

Yes. I agree. He had found love and lost it all too soon. sad
