C'mon let's stick up for the over 50s. Who are your heart-throbs. Let's say over 50. Preferably well over. And alive!

For me:
Helen Mirren
Albert Finney
Charlotte Rampling
Joan Bakewell
Clive James (I hope he's still alive!)
Anthony Hopkins
Felicity Kendal
Harry Belafonte (he doesn't need to sing)
James Dyson (Designer)
Richard Rogers (Architect)

Now that would be the basis for a fun party! Now where's that thread on favourite cocktail recipes?

I live a sheltered life grin But nobody controls what goes on in my head; certainly I don't! gringrin

Dan Cruikshank and Michael Wood. Joanna Lumley is an icon.

I rather fancy Hugh Quarshie - plays 'Ric' in Holby City.

jO5 Wed 07-Nov-12 12:46:18

Now you're talking!

kittylester Wed 07-Nov-12 13:36:20

I am hereby offering to keep David Tennant 'safe' until he turns 50 - he'll be fine with me!!

Ana You can't have Bruce Willis - he may have nice eyes but he's a wimp. He wouldn't fly to Europe after 9/11 as he was too scared. All action hero...hmmmm. Mandy Pitakin (not sure of the spelling and too lazy to check). He's the one from Homeland, Saul - nice eyes and some meat on him!

Piers Brosnan to open the door,
Brad and George to serve the cocktails,
Elton John - come on, ladies, he can really get a tune out of that piano!
Tom Jones for a bit of hip swivelling,
And Michael Buble to take me home - not over 50, but sometimes you just need a younger man! grin

Daisyanswerdo Wed 07-Nov-12 16:32:01

Yes, it's Martin Shaw, and I'll join you in that one.

jO5 Wed 07-Nov-12 16:34:57

jO5 Wed 07-Nov-12 17:34:52

has the poor man got some warts on his cheeks? (Ian Rankin that is)

absentgrana Wed 07-Nov-12 17:38:11

I am impressed with his intellect and clever mind, not his appearance, but I don't think they are warts – just lumpy bits. smile Martin Shaw – what?

jO5 Wed 07-Nov-12 17:43:11

Martin Shaw is quite nice too and I approve of his green beliefs.
