Does anyone else think that there is far too much petty bickering on GN

How sad it is to come on here and read this thread and to find that members who have contributed such a lot to the forum with their knowledge and empathy have made the decision to leave,and jeni a person who would not hurt any ones feelings caught in the crossfire- very sad indeed.
I have always said that comments made can be misconstrude because we do not have full visual sight of who is saying what and comments can come across incorrect when there is no direct contact so please the people who are looking to leave or who have left have a think again as your inputs to the forum are valuable,rather than leave GN just give some threads that you think confrontational a miss,I have made some good virtual friends here and we have had some very good times and some hard discussions but at the end of the day we are grown up ladies enjoying the company of like minded women and we should embrace the fact that this site brings a welcome visitor into our lives.Lets hope it will close now and lets enjoy the season of good will and look forward to pleasent times again.

Yes, you can't get back on under the same name so I'm gradually disappearing. I shouldn't have let things get to me I know. On reflection I have lots of good virtual friends on this forum and I would miss them.

Nanado I would imagine there'll be a resounding 'yes' to that Things can hurt on here and having been on the receiving end of some vitriol, I understand. The abuse of the PM facility has happened to me too, quite nasty really. I can cope but some can't.

I feel the word 'bullying' is rather strong. If I don't like what is being, or has been said, about something I've posted, then I just ignore it. I may come back with a retort or just not bother with that particular thread.

No one is forcing anyone to post of Gransnet. We do it for pleasure. If you don't get pleasure from it any more, then the choice is yours.
