When I say 'cooked' breakfast I don't mean the full monty - just that I can't do sweet things like danish pastries, cereal, smoothies (yuk), fruit (aargh!) in the morning.

Yesterday I had smoked salmon & scrambled eggs on toast, and today baked beans on toast and 2 Quorn frankfurters.

I took the dogs out in the snow and had a terrible fright. Anyone want to hear about it?

River you can come but please go out for breakfast! I like fruit and yogurt if I have to have breakfast at all. I do because of my meds. DH says that a local hostelry does lovely hot breakfast though.

Ok I'll set the scene. Deep snow here, more falling, hard to see. Walking up a grassy hill in blizzard, head down when I notice enormous animal track in the snow. A Lion? The Beast of Bodmin. I look around trying to make our shapes through the swirling snow and call my little dogs back safely to me.

Shall I go on?

Through the snow I hear these grunting and growling noises but can't place if they're in front, behind me or how close.

Then two enormous black bears come bounding down the hill straight towards us. I can't outrun them.

I can see their breath.

So can I!

They skidded to a halt a foot in front of me. My heart was pounding I thought they were going to tear me and my dogs limb from limb.
