There seem to be some astonishingly dreary and dull subjects up for discussion at the moment. Have we lost our edge?

Galen Sat 02-Mar-13 20:17:16

We daren't do otherwise Absent we're all being good children and keeping our noses clean.

Nothing stopping you starting your own interesting and thought-provoking threads, absent.

I think the energy and enthusiasm waxes and wanes from day to day and week to week. There are a lot of new members finding their feet.

And a lot of people who have been out in this sunshine!

I had a visitor this afternoon along with the grandchildren.
We went up the park and Andie my dog took us for a walk and he had a roll around in the grass.
We then went for a pizza not my favourite but my grandchildren like it.
We also had an ice cream. Andie tried to pull away before I had my change which is not good for a Scot.
He will eat reduced price food to look after the money.

See! Frank always provides exciting and meaningful content to Gransnet! grin Glad you had a good day, Frank smile

hmm I'm still not sure he's real.

HUNTERF Sat 02-Mar-13 21:12:21

Come on Galen

Who is writing on this site.
A ghost?.

Anne58 Sat 02-Mar-13 21:12:46

Thought provoking, challenging, controversial, cutting edge.................perhaps not.

Ariadne Sat 02-Mar-13 21:16:03

Mmmm, think it is so at the moment, but there is always a rhythm to this; if we wait, something will happen, but I'm not starting it! Oh no...

Ana Sat 02-Mar-13 21:21:34

I agree, Ariadne. This is like a previous thread 'Have we become victims of our own success?'. Some members seem to relish controversy and confrontation, while others back away from it. It's a forum for grandparents, after all. hmm

Galen Sat 02-Mar-13 21:23:53

Well I've heard of ghost writers before!

Yes it has a bit. Make up a rude limerick?

Lilygran Sat 02-Mar-13 22:02:30

Go on, go on, go on!

sunflowersuffolk Sat 02-Mar-13 22:05:30

I'm no good at them, but some of you creative types must have a dirty mind!

Notso Sat 02-Mar-13 22:10:22

The old ones are the best....?

There once was a Gran from Devizes
With false legs of different sizes
One was small
Hardly anything at all
The other was big and won prizes

Ana Sat 02-Mar-13 22:16:57

There was a young woman from Norway
Who hung by her heels from the doorway
She called to her man 'Get off the divan -
I think I've discovered one more way!'

Lilygran Sat 02-Mar-13 22:18:13

There was an old granny from Frome
Who was hardly ever at home
She would frolic and gad
But she took her iPad
And would GN wherever she'd roam.

Not rude, sorry!

Galen Sat 02-Mar-13 22:23:27

There was an old biddy from GRANSNET
Who said that her needs were well met
By gramps and by Pete
Who quick on his feet
Always got to a woman I'll bet!

Faye Sat 02-Mar-13 22:42:35

There was a man called Frank
Who only posted for a prank
In between bums and tums
And helping out with his friend's mums
You could not imagine his joy
To see how much he could annoy. smile
