Has it got boring?

The grannies who post in this forum,
Are not quite queens of decorum,
Their joints may be creaky,
But their minds are still cheeky,
Like their knickers in days when they wore `em!

To talk of decorum
On this type of forum
Is really a waste of time
The laydees of GRANSNET
Are more of a mindset
That thinks that modesty s fine

But when on a spree
I think they'd agree
That modesty goes to wall
For talk of decorum
Is fine for all um
That don't have fun at all

Is Gnet becoming a bore?
Is responding to threads now a chore?
Once we threw in our lot,
Gave as good as we got,
Now the trend seems to be 'Less Is More'

I'm getting bored with it.

I must admit I find the recent rash of deleted of threads a bit tiresome. I don't get much time to look in during the day and by the time I log in at tea time there's a red note saying a thread has been deleted. BUMMER! I have no idea what's happened.

Brilliant, a slightly belated little Davids Day poetry eisteddfod. So many bardic offerings. for number in particular. And, if you want them, some flowing robes, a crown of oak leaves and someone talking Welsh and waving a sword around.
merlot often deleted threads are spammers who come in the night and starts threads on which they post inappropriate links or adverts and then get reported in the morning.

Old Gran she was a netter
And dwelt in cyberspace
Her bed was cold through lack o'use
A wild and lonely place.
Her food was oft a tiny bite
Her drink a small Merlot
Snatched between her typing time
Ignoring mess below
As words of wisdom
Flowing fast
Poured from her active mind
To offer solace, warmth and love
To those who were confined
By circumstances sad and hard
Or one of life's bad chances,
And cheer the lonely or the jarred
By many cheerful fancies.

We definitely should start a "best of gransnet verse" and cut and paste our favourites onto it.
