Over-exposed

Don't you think that some stars/celebs ruin it for themselves with overexposure? We saw Alan Titchmarsh on everything, then Stephen Fry, Benedict Cumberbatch and now Claire Balding. Not even on programmes suited for their talents . Titchmarsh's so called chat show being an example. Maybe it's getting the money whilst you can, but I end up switching off as it drives me nuts. It's like the programme on Buckingham Palace presented by that newsreader Fiona Wotsit - just seemed to be an excuse to parade all her new frocks.

I liked the programme about the Queen's passion for horses but I wish Clare Balding had not been filmed lurking around in the background like a peeping Tom. Also, what's with all the whispering to camera. Is the Queen so skittish she might bolt?

Clare's knowledge goes without saying but a straightforward voice-over would have been better.

I did say on another thread that it reminded me of David Attenborough with the gorillas...

I suppose they had to make the most of the Queen being 'In shot' as she does not give overt interviews to camera and had to catch her passing comments to clare. I bet there was a load of stuff they could'nt use! or maybe were not allowed to use?!

Passing comments? I think I spotted one. The Queen totally ignored her.

I got a bit choked seeing Zara with Toytown; I got very emotional when they won the World Championship.

The queen agreed to be filmed, it does'nt happen by magic there are many negotiations with producers and aids etc so there must have been many conversations with Clare and she does know and respect clare, just a shame more of it was'nt on film as you said.

I was fortunate to go to Greenwich to see the Eventing...loved it! when they were show jumping they had to tell the crowd to shut up...it was brilliant.

I see too much of Pippa Middleton she's always in the newspapers.
