First on the list should be Tegan's ferret (it will deal with her rodent problem!)

Nonu wine. Reasons to be cheerful part two-- the boiler broke down on Friday, so no hot water over the weekend, but lovely Man came round today and mended it and now I am about to have a very hot shower. And I have put the heating on, just to warm up a little. So I am a very happy bunny. smile

Nodded off on the sofa by accident this afternoon, and feel much better for it! Going to start a new jigsaw tonight whilst watching Springwatch. smile Oh yes, and finished all the horrible ironing yesterday.

Saw the last two episodes of Broadchurch so now have to not say whodunnit to anyone who hasn'tseenityet. Saw most of the programme about the Queen on iplayer; just need to see the last 15 minutes. Was it just me but did Clare Balding remind anyone else of David Attenborough and the gorillas when she was talking about the Queen confused? Fasvcinating watching the stuff about Monty Roberts.I went to see a horse whisperer once who said he'd cure my arthritis. I still have it but perhaps it would have been a lot worse if I hadn't been 'done'. I didn't actually go to see him about the arthritis but to se him do some horse whispering. He told me that I had to go and lie down for the rest of the afternoon and I said I would find that very easy to do smile.

And a virtuosic song thrush in the garden both mornings and evenings recently. It's the best song thrush I've ever heard.

having my eyebrows waxed today.Although it is painful, its quick, and I always feel more attractive (after the redness has disappeared, that is!)

kittylester Wed 29-May-13 07:22:25

It's raining so, if I'm really lucky, I might be able to dispatch more snails - evil grin

celebgran Wed 29-May-13 10:03:21

I am beautician waxing is quick but I take ages over eyebrow shaping!
Hard to get them both spot on too much of perfectionist!

shysal Wed 29-May-13 10:35:50

celeb, I do notice a lot of wonky ones on TV! Is the colour stencilled on these days?
I have been invited to lunch with DD2 and 3 GSs today. I usually only visit when doing child care, so this is a lovely change.

kittylester Wed 29-May-13 10:48:11

I did despatch more snails - the day gets better. Shysal enjoy your lunch smile

Oldgreymare Wed 29-May-13 11:22:24

Went on a snail hunt..... found not a single one! (After all that rain too.)

kittylester Wed 29-May-13 11:40:06

I've got the b*****s OGM, would you like them back? Did you know they liked coriander? Maybe they are aiming to cut our the middleman and make themselves tasty for eating? Ggggrrrrr! angry

Oldgreymare Wed 29-May-13 11:48:45

I've usually got loads of the b*****s Kitty but there is also evidence of hedgehogs altho' I think they prefer other delicacies.
I can't grow broom, once saw a slug clinging to the bare stem, sloth-like.
Reason to be cheerful: snails are easier to pick up than slugs! YUK!

Grannylin Wed 29-May-13 11:56:24

The sun has come out so I'm taking the ironing outside between showers-can't waste a minute of it sunshine

petallus Wed 29-May-13 12:11:49

Going out for lunch with a friend in a minute. He is providing a delicious picnic made with his own home made bread. There will be olives, sun dried tomatoes and some marzipan chocolate for afters. The conversation will be stimulating.

It's raining but what the poo (as my GS says).

Lilygran Wed 29-May-13 12:47:31

Tegan Wed 29-May-13 22:27:06

I've found my tweezers smile; but why were they next to the pooter confused?

Oldgreymare Thu 30-May-13 09:40:18
