I was less than impressed when DS2 fluked his test within a couple of months of his 17th birthday. His brother had failed because he came up against an unexpected situation and he was and still is by far the better driver of the two.

on my part as I knew them from my school days when I was in the A stream at school and they were in the D stream.
Hells bells number you couldn't help but admire her for her determination. I was a really very nervous and I found one manoeuvre really difficult, I just couldn't reverse around corners but did manage it on one particular test (perfectly) my problem was that I forgot to stop and I carried on reversing perfectly straight 3/4s of the way down the road 
I may have mentioned this before but DH took his first test in the days when you could drive your own vehicle. He borrowed a works van with a full tool kit sliding around in the back. All went well until the emergency stop! 
He failed!!
