Sometimes life works out

Today I have signed the documents to rent an unfurnished house for the next couple of years. It has a room that will be a perfect study/office for me when I am working, a large/lounge diner that is very light and airy, an okay kitchen (I have plans) plus a spare bedroom where grandchildren can have sleepovers. But that is not all. It is less than 5 minutes walk from the primary school that three grandchildren attend, about 7 minutes walk from the little one's nursery (I pick them up on foot on Mondays and Fridays) and 5 minutes from the shopping area. How good is that?

Nice carpets, nice curtains and neutral decoration, plus a garden where I can grow veggies, as well as looking after the established plants and a lawn where the children can play.

Isn't it good when you fall on your feet - even if you don't deserve it?

Thanks Galen. My dictionaries are all in the big tin box on the ship on the ocean and I was too lazy to google.

I have had lots of fun today, in spite of disliking shopping. I have bought a fridge and a freezer, two room heaters, three chopping boards, three hot water bottles and a dining table and eight chairs. I have also paid the agent's fee (plus tax) and the bond on the house. It's all coming together. smile grin

I think my mother willing her half of the house to me worked out reasonably well as my wife died and it enabled me to sell my house and move in with Dad to care for him in his final years even though I came a half rather than a full house owner.
I was retired early about the same time.

The only annoying thing was when my father's ex wanted me and Andie to leave and I was bombarded by people wanting me to give the house to her straight after my father died.

Lovely when it all comes together as you would like it too - will you be needing most things new or have you a lot in the container? Happy days sorting and arranging ahead --- plus the biggest bonus of all - lots of cuddles from little people!
