Finding one's self or Who am I!?

I married at 17 and became Mrs ???
Had 4 children and also became his/hers/whatsits mum??

Now 3 children left home 1 still to go (on verge of leaving), OH retired due to accident at work (and getting on my nerves).

Now I find I have time on my hands and don't know what to do, don't have any hobbies, don't have any friends sad (or people I could call friends I just have acquaintances).

So as subject states 'how do you find one's self' who am I??????

We don't prepare. We grope our way forward. A nd then try to deal as best we can with whatever comes.

That sums up my approach to life perfectly J08. Not ideal in hindsight. Every so often I break out and rebel but I live to rue the day. Thought I'd solved the clingy parent thing by moving across several counties. They ALL followed, including the ex although he doesn't bother me thankfully.

I love a line from a John Lennon song - "life is what happens to you when you are busy making other plans". It is so true. We can try to prepare for things but the things that happen are very rarely the things we have tried to prepare for!! It is a rollercoaster and sometimes we just long to step off for a wee while. flowers to all those women who feel like the jam in the sandwich of the generations.
