Good morning everyone - lovely day here again - exciting day for family back in UK today. - eldest DGS his Graduation ceremony this afternoon at Swansea - got a First in Engineering - now this is a day I 'wish I was there!' Mind you I couldn't go even if I was there as two tickets only for his Mum and Dad - also my tongue is ready for my friend's arrival at lunch time!!

Good morning to you all. cloudy and cool this morning but due to get hot I think. Off to Amberley Museum later on to do a bit of volunteering in print shop. We enjoy that, although if it gets too hot we shall probably not bother, weather making us lazy.

What a gorgeous day here in South Manchester. The air is fresh and getting warmer, but had just an edge of crispness when I took the dog for her walk an hour ago. I've pulled a few weeds out in the garden, and will maybe do a bit more when I've read the online papers. I seem to be having more lazy days than active ones just lately. Oh well.......smile

Good morning, South Cheshire has been blessed with another glorious one. I am just about to finish shovelling the rest of the top soil that DH thoughtfully had delivered and then it's a lazy day for me.

PRINTMISS that sounds interesting tell us more. We have a lovely little museum here in Nantwich. There are lots of artefacts from the Battle of Nantwich and of course Nantwich was one of the Cheshire salt towns, in fact the town still has an outdoor brine swimming pool.

Indeed when it's looking to be a fantastic day here in Manc and my plan for today is to do nothing but be outside in the sunshine and enjoy myself. When summer's here, I just like to grab it, at the same time being thankful I am retired and no longer struggling for the attention of bored adolescents in a hot computer room. smile

Bit murky looking to Wales.

annodomini Thu 11-Jul-13 08:29:37

Well, this just about covers Cheshire - where are you Ella? And I can confirm - blue sky and bright sunshine.

Nonu Thu 11-Jul-13 08:47:21

Good morning one and all .

Quite overcast here in Suffolk , sunshine maybe later , they say .

Nelliemoser Thu 11-Jul-13 09:19:10

Just warming up nicely in Cheshire . Its a bit fresher than the last two days.

Ella46 Thu 11-Jul-13 10:11:18

I'm here! Gorgeous sunshine in the 'champagne triangle' grin.
I'm so enjoying all these lazy sunny days. It's much too hot to do anything when.
Yesterday, I took advantage of the slight drop in temperature and went to the garden centre, where the sale was on! Got two large and healthy plants for my sitting room at a very good price smile smile

Has anyone else noticed that this thread is one of the few where no one has a go ?

whenim64 Thu 11-Jul-13 10:14:16

Ella shush....they might notice grin. This thread is a safe haven! sunshine

Nonu Thu 11-Jul-13 10:22:48

^CHAMPAGNE TRIANGLE ? Do tell more ELLA .

How right you are , WHEN .

Butty Thu 11-Jul-13 10:23:12

ella and when smile.

Lots of sunshine on my walk this morning, accompanied by so many butterflies I stopped counting, and had to be careful not to step on them as they fluttered to land just ahead of me on the path. Delightful.

whenim64 Thu 11-Jul-13 10:27:55

Oh, I'm envious, Butty. There are so few butterflies and ladybirds about at the moment round here. I hope it improves soon. I've got so many butterfly attracting flowers blooming now, and a couple of insect towers - surely they'll be tempted?

Nelliemoser Thu 11-Jul-13 11:03:42

whenim Ella46 I suspect the champagne triangle doesn't include the south of Cheshire where Sook and I live.

I do know someone who lives in Wilmslow! Does that increase my social status ? Sook and I live nearer Bridgemere though and that's the best garden centre I know.

whenim64 Thu 11-Jul-13 11:15:09

Nellie if you've got an Aldi nearby, the champagne is the same that they spend their footballer's and TV celeb's wages on in this neck of the woods! grin

vegasmags Thu 11-Jul-13 11:33:51

I have a friend who lives in Knutsford - does that count? Where I live is less champagne triangle, more Wetherspoon's happy hour grin

Nelliemoser Thu 11-Jul-13 11:36:12

Ah! problem is DH doesn't drink alcohol since he was ill 3ys ago. A whole bottle would go flat before I could drink it. What I need is an occasion and some willingly boozy friends to share it with and not need to drive home afterwards.

Ella46 Thu 11-Jul-13 16:24:01

It should be called "Tarts Triangle" to be more truthful grin

Butty Thu 11-Jul-13 16:37:34

ella Is there room for me in the T.T. - sounds lots of fun. grin

Ella46 Thu 11-Jul-13 18:34:17

Of course ............all welcome grin
You have to be a deep shade of mahogany, with false nails, false eyelashes and false boobs, and teeter on 7"heels with a miniscule, skin tight, plunging necklined dress!
Oh, and a footballer has to be involved too wink

Nelliemoser Thu 11-Jul-13 18:47:18

I actually saw a woman fitting that description profile in Alderley Edge. I did my best not to laugh.

annodomini Thu 11-Jul-13 19:42:26

Poynton is just outside that Champagne Triangle. We are outsiders looking in!
