The 'old money' is reputed to be around Knutsford. The Champagne Triangle is 'nouveau riche' - so it is said. Actually Cristiano Ronaldo lived in Poynton with - wait for it - his mother. I think things may have changed for him nowadays!

Lovely sunny day here. Will be walking down the lane to nextdoor church for a friend's funeral in half an hour. Thank goodness it is not raining. Not looking forward to it. Cannot go to the wake in village hall as need to look after wee GS with chickenpox while his older brother goes to the school he will attend in Sept to meet his "Buddie" - what an excellent system that is for helping children settle in.

I have only just twigged that Anno blush but there was at least some continuity on the Cheshire thread. I got up too early this morning! Yawn!

Not only does the champagne triangle have soap stars and footballers but alleged gangsters. As well as very clever lawyers.

Thank goodness Coghlan is out of Stockport and over the Cheshire border now. He doesn't half create a lot of paperwork!!!

I had become aware of him through work but that is not a story for GN.

Hope I am not too late to answer you soop. Amberley Museum & Heritage Centre is situated in the old Calk Pits of Pepper & Son, and nestles at the foot of the South Downs. We started volunteering in the print shop just after my husband had a heart attack in 1994 - we were sought out by the gentleman who then ran the print shop because we had acquired a small collection of wooden engravings from the mid 1850's and he asked to use them, and since my husband is a printer of the old style, he helped out. It was therapeutic, and a beautiful part of the country, so we just stayed on. Lots more to the story but if you want to find out more about the Museum, (and not our lives!)then you can log on to www.amberleymuseum.co.uk.

Thank you PRINTMISS for your interesting story. I have always been fascinated by the printing process and over the years I have collected a number of printers blocks and printers trays to display them. I am now going to take a look at the website.

Mishap my GD starts school in September and when I accompanied her to a Teddy Bears picnic (at her soon to be school) we met a lovely little girl who will be her Buddy for the first year. I think it is a brilliant idea .
