Don't feel hurt poppy1. You are quite obviously not racist. I guess Gransnet has to be really careful with things like this. Take it on the chin and keep posting.

It's not a 'guess' that GN has to careful with things like this - it's a necessary part of living in the sort of society that tries ( even if it doesn't always succeed) in treating people with respect and taking the use of offensive language seriously.

That's what I meant too Poppy when I said to move on. No-one believes you to be a racist but we were just pointing out language that's not acceptable any more.

I don't know Poppy so I can't possibly know whether or not he is racist - and neither can anybody else, except by the language he uses.
