Sometime in life you think there's not much can really shock you!
Well last night just before i was to go to bed i had a look at the BBC news on the www web,
(living here in france its one of the better places to read the english news and it gives news from all parts of the uk)

Well a man has been found guilty of having sex with a "GOAT" he admitted the action and was named and shamed,
the farmer who owns the goat was said to have pointed out the goats vet bill and damage done to this animal.

When i read such things and being just an ordinary person i cant help but think what a sad world some people live in.

Im really shocked to read such things and i thought i'd heard it all

Sex with animals is known as bestiality isn't it?

Galen Fri 13-Sept-13 09:46:45

Yes, it's not that uncommon.

I remember reading about a man in America who was arrested for having sex with a 4x4 shock. Apparently some police found him with his pants round his ankles thrusting against the vehicle! The next day he said he was drunk and couldn't remember!

I knew a man who was convicted of having sex with a cow! It must have been premeditated as he had taken with him a box to stand on!
Absolutely true.

At the Pompeii exhibition at the British Museum the famous statue of Pan having sex with a goat is on display.

Most onlookers were mesmerised - I had a good look.

Strange that something you can be prosecuted for in one context is also celebrated as a work of art. confused

How old are you poppy ?!

Are you living in a convent? hmm

Galen Fri 13-Sept-13 10:11:52

I. Am reminded of
"The sexual life of the camel
Is stranger than anyone thinks etc: etc:-

Bit cruel to splash it all over the news.

Some decent minded person did manage to say it was the result of isolation rather than depravity. The man had problems. Why can't such things go unreported?

I predict this thread will run and run. #gransnet

If I knew you better, I would tell you about the badger that was kept in a freezer and thawed out occasionally.........you can make the rest up yourself! blush

Ana Fri 13-Sept-13 10:21:20

But Riverwalk, Pan is half goat himself, isn't he?

Galen Fri 13-Sept-13 10:22:18

Actually, the line about the sphinx is not possible. I checked!

Bez Fri 13-Sept-13 10:25:55

Just to change course a bit- Poppy whereabouts in France are you? - several of us here live in France now - I am in Dordogne.

Riverwalk Fri 13-Sept-13 11:25:05

Yes, Ana but he's all man in the middle!

Ana Fri 13-Sept-13 11:26:24

But not the bit that would actually matter, in this case!

Riverwalk Fri 13-Sept-13 11:29:51

I'll have to go back and have another look! grin

Hi Bez,
We're in dept 23 nearest village is Aigurande, and the largest is La-chatre dept 36, we're right on the border, 4 km's and your in dept 36.

I did get one of our dogs from your neck of the woods "Dordogne" the blus cross people, So i have been there,

Here like yous is very very country, mainly farming & no industry to speak off hence the younger ones do move away when they're of school leaving age.

It's a nice place to live if you can live without big stores ie Marks And Spancer etc and litter all over the place, we dont have much if any crime here, maybe the old drink & drive thing but i can honestly say you can leave your doors unlocked while your out in the garden and many a time ive left the car outside with the keys in the ignition for days.

I'd say if you enjoy quiet, peace perfect peace then its here,
infact its so quiet i swear at times you could hear a mouse fart smile

I love that statue Riverwalk I saw it in the museum in Naples and was so pleased to find it in the Pompeii exhibition. And the goat seems to be enjoying it too.

There was also the witness in legal proceedings who described how he'd walked into the barn one morning and found the defendant standing on a stool, his trousers around his ankles and apparently leaning against a cow's backside. When asked what he did then, the witness replied, "I said Morning George".

When DH ran a pub in the Lakes one of his regulars was driving home from work and saw one of his neighbour's sheep stuck in a bog. Being a good Samaritan he stopped to help the animal but so as not to ruin his trousers he took them off. That took some explaining when a friend drove past!blush

A few years back there was a similar case near where we lived. The bloke was found having 'fun' with a large pig and a bottle of shampoo. The pig didn't seem to object, apparently.

Now since i put this thread on the forum ive had a thread removed saying im racist or at least some remark i made was, (Im not and never have been)

Im sorry i pointed out this very thread as it may be decided im some sort of sex maniac by some folk for putting such a thread on the forum,

Maybe as this subject was highlighted by the BBC its ok to repeat it on this forum,
"Talk about one rule for one and another for others"

Aka Sun 15-Sept-13 15:31:09
