We're in dept 23 nearest village is Aigurande, and the largest is La-chatre dept 36, we're right on the border, 4 km's and your in dept 36.

I did get one of our dogs from your neck of the woods "Dordogne" the blus cross people, So i have been there,

Here like yous is very very country, mainly farming & no industry to speak off hence the younger ones do move away when they're of school leaving age.

It's a nice place to live if you can live without big stores ie Marks And Spancer etc and litter all over the place, we dont have much if any crime here, maybe the old drink & drive thing but i can honestly say you can leave your doors unlocked while your out in the garden and many a time ive left the car outside with the keys in the ignition for days.

I love that statue Riverwalk I saw it in the museum in Naples and was so pleased to find it in the Pompeii exhibition. And the goat seems to be enjoying it too.

There was also the witness in legal proceedings who described how he'd walked into the barn one morning and found the defendant standing on a stool, his trousers around his ankles and apparently leaning against a cow's backside. When DH ran a pub in the Lakes one of his regulars was driving home from work and saw one of his neighbour's sheep stuck in a bog. Being a good Samaritan he stopped to help the animal but so as not to ruin his trousers he took them off. That took some explaining when a friend drove past!
