Hi all

The original thread has become too long and unwieldy so we're trying to streamline all the information to make it easier for everyone to keep up with what's going on.

There are two other threads for support and suggestions.

Please can you leave this thread free for those who have firm updates and links? Thanks so much. flowers

Thanks, Zing!

MiceElf Tue 05-Nov-13 10:23:53

Thanks for keeping us updated Grandjura. It's good to know that the family are being supported. Thinking of them, of the search party and all those who are helping in whatever way.

granjura Tue 05-Nov-13 10:10:01

Family has help with translation, driving, accom and everything they need. No detail on GN to keep wolves at bay.

granjura Tue 05-Nov-13 10:08:37

Just talked to Adjudant in charge. No news, but much better weather conditions today so all specialist forces deployed + helicopter. Let's hope today will bring news.

GrandmaMiney Tue 05-Nov-13 08:19:34

All the support posts are wonderful and there is a thread for them, but I agree with pheonix, isn't this the thread we go to for updates and news? Hopefully there will be good news today.

Isn't it good to experience mums n gransnet working together for Carol and her family.

whenim64 Tue 05-Nov-13 08:00:28

I lay awake reading the Mumsnet threads in the early hours. Does feel like we're in this together and I'm so grateful for what Mumsnetters have been bringing here for us (I'm a member but post infrequently). Let this day be the one when Carol is found.

Honeyball Tue 05-Nov-13 07:46:23

The weather is looking much better today ( for this morning at least).
Hopefully this will make the search much easier for all those involved.

Mamie Tue 05-Nov-13 06:39:04

Thank you Zing and Mumsnet. Others who know more will be along later, but as far as I know, it is now just a question of waiting while the search continues. I am sure we will all be thinking of the search team today.

MUMSNET THREAD HERE

I thought I'd link it, just in case you need us to do anything, quickly. post directly onto it, whatever you need, we'll do our best to help.

Another person has also offered help if French translation if it is still needed - do let us know on the thread or PM me.

again, sorry if this is the wrong thread to post on, just trying to be helpful.

Anne58 Mon 04-Nov-13 23:24:55

Sorry, this may be considered "out of line" but I thought this thread was to kept for updates only? I too have lit a candle, but until now kept that info on the "support" thread.

I know we all care and are concerned, but it would be so much better if we kept within the designated parameters!

NannaAnna Mon 04-Nov-13 23:07:19

Have lit a candle too inthefields. Thank you for sharing this with us all.
I don't think there is one of us on GN who is not waking up with Carol as our first thought, or going to sleep without her in our minds, or thinking of her countless times throughout the day. Still hoping.

whenim64 Mon 04-Nov-13 23:06:58

moon night all.

whenim64 Mon 04-Nov-13 23:05:10

Grumps - read my post in conjunction with anno's. The post you refer to is nonsense. They obviously no nothing about about her apartment to make this claim. No more pms, please. The focus is on Carol.

annodomini Mon 04-Nov-13 23:00:02

moon

Agus Mon 04-Nov-13 22:58:08

I hope the above post is the last of what are very upsetting detailsangry

annodomini Mon 04-Nov-13 22:46:28

Grumps, yes, despicable and they won't find it illuminating anyway.

Marelli Mon 04-Nov-13 22:38:34

Thank you in the fields. I have lit a candle. xx

whenim64 Mon 04-Nov-13 22:37:17

Nonsense post, unnecessary tactic. Not expanding on it.

Grumps15 Mon 04-Nov-13 22:29:56

I've just received an email from a friend telling me of a post on another forum where it has been reported "One journalist even managed to get photos of interior of flat via keyhole"!

Has anyone else heard of such despicable behaviour or worse, actually seen these reported photographs?

Grandmanorm Mon 04-Nov-13 22:25:06

inthefields what a lovely idea. I have lighted a candle for Carol and her family.
Thank you for that.

janeainsworth Mon 04-Nov-13 22:20:08

Thank you Inthefields

MiceElf Mon 04-Nov-13 21:50:52

In the fields, that's lovely. Carol has not been away from my thoughts for a week now, nor from the thoughts of so many more, holding her and her family in the light.

Minty Mon 04-Nov-13 21:40:22

Thinking of you all Heather and thank you for taking the time to post.

inthefields Mon 04-Nov-13 21:39:48

I had actually PM'd someone close to the family regarding the following, but have not yet heard back so am going to post anyway, and hope that everyone will see this in the way it is intended ......

People over at Mumsnet have been bumping threads for over 2000 posts, in order to keep Carol at the forefront of minds. The latest thread has finally been 'stickied' but bumping seemed to be a way of sending love and hope for Carol, and it is hard not to do that tonight.

So I have taken a small liberty and decided to light a candle of hope for her.
Carol is not religious, but this is not about religion...it is about sending a small light out into the world tonight, to shine into the dark for her.
I opened my candle as a 'group' option in case anyone else feels the same way. Please light your own candle of hope of, in the group, to shine out into the darkness for her tonight.
The link is here ....and anyone can click on an unlit candle to light a beacon for her.

If, for any reason, the link doesn't work for you ... just go here and enter CAROL in the groups search box
