A four line poem I shall endeavour to print,
I know it is rubbish, I can take a hint,
Show me up ladies, and do a lot better,
Who? is the most poetic Gransnetter.

I wrote a panto many moons ago
And found the verses soon did flow
But at the end it was quite hard
To ditch the rhymes and think in word(s)

Aagghh!

This weekday is my, most favourite one,
Because it says Sat, I will sit on my bum,
I shall only look at your wisdom and wit,
And wish I was clever and not a big twit.

The trees are clothed in autumn fire
The sea is decked in silver grey
The river's song is to admire
As I wend my way to town today

Ga River and ocean - how lucky can woman be? I wish I lived near either.

Love the poem BTW.

When the grief has passed and gone
Let's remember all the fun
The jokes, the wit,
The comments quick.
And when we type our quick riposte
Let's keep in mind our sadly lost

Aaah a four line poem thread on Gransnet
So I'll offer up this rather brief ditty
The weather outside is grey and wet
It can only be described as sh**tty!

Apologies a politer poem below:

Only a few golden leaves on our Oak tree remain
Autumn is all but over, soon it will be Winter again
Temperatures may drop and and possibly snow will appear
Hope the councils get their gritters out earlier this year.

Mice, you've almost reduced me to tears again - but good tears. Thank you.

The nights are getting cold now
The leaves are whirling by
I looked out of my window
And saw - a butterfly!

It's true - a peacock butterfly in November!

DH has lost his socks again,
His partial vision is a pain,
Why can't they shout, 'We're over here'?
Why do they HAVE to disappear? angry

A poppy red, a poppy white
both a symbol of the fight
to dream ahead of days of peace
when all who war and fight may cease.

A poppy red, a symbol sad,
of an empty place, an absent dad,
a mother's tears, a wife's deep cry
a graveside vigil; why, oh, why?

A poppy white; 'peace, peace', the cry
another way we dare to try
Malala stands an emblem true
but peace can only start.........with you

(and me!)

Please dear Pussy, do not do That!!
You have not got wings, that's just a fact,
So kindly come down from the top of the door,
And stay where you should, which is down on the floor!!!

Now in his ear he has a flea!!
