You are a pretty wonderful lot, but there are some members without whom things would be very different chez Phoenix.

I won't say why, or name names, (you know who you are!) but I just hope that your kindness comes back to you tenfold.

Much love to all for tomorrow, those that will be alone, those who will be with families, those that will be remembering other times, I will think of you all.

I must have missed that wonderful summer weather, NfkDumpling! tchhmm.

But I do hope that 2014 is better for a lot of us than 2013 was - especially you, phoenix tchsmile

Christmas wishes phoenix, may 2014 see a change for the better for you x

Marelli Wed 25-Dec-13 07:09:48

From me too, phoenix, the warmest of good wishes. You jolly us along and make us laugh, while sometimes struggling yourself. Let this New Year be the turning point for you and Mr P. Hope poorly puss can manage a wee bit of mashed 'parson's nose' today. Xxx

Charleygirl Wed 25-Dec-13 08:29:34

Marelli, parson's nose? Surely not, that cat deserves the best, turkey breast if that is what phoenix and mr.P are having.

tchsmile Silly little baggage doesn't really like anything that isn't cat food, however she's quite partial to a drop of milk now and then.

Maurice, on the other hand likes turkey, smoked salmon, stilton, bacon rinds.....................

Deedaa Wed 25-Dec-13 22:57:13

My four have been in cat heaven, turkey, turkey and more turkey tchgrin even the one with the bad stomach has made a miraculous recovery!

Greetings from (an internet cafe in) icy Norway where I'm having a wonderful time with my beloved husband and sons - not forgetting the most delightful daughter in law. I'm feeling truly blessed and am wishing you all - especially phoenix a wonderful holiday season and splendiferous New Year! grin
(Currently being teased mercilessly about my Gransnet addiction!)

seasider what lovely news!

Strictly "entre nous", ladies and gents, Mr P had an interview on Monday that seemed to go well, so cross what you can, send a positive thought, prayer or whatever.

grannyactivist so glad that you are having a great time, every possible good wish to you, and your family.

Deedaa so far no turkey for the mogs, but glad that yours are enjoying it! Maurice however did very much appreciate a special "extra" of some of the smoked haddock sort of soufflé thing that is always part of our Christmas day. We have yet to break open a lovely selection of cheeses, but probably will this evening.

We would like to be able to put them on the coffee table in the sitting room, so that we could dip in at our leisure, but the mere smell of what has to be referred to as "solid dairy product" in Maurice's presence seems to turn him into a cheese crazed hooligan!

tchgrin to all!

Charleygirl Thu 26-Dec-13 21:09:16

I agree, Tara likes to lick all of the cheese if on display so it is difficult keeping it out of her sight and smell. If she fancies any she will have a nibble which is just what guests like to see. I am not too keen eating cheese licked even by my own cat!

Deedaa Thu 26-Dec-13 21:14:55

One of ours is quite capable of hooking a piece of cheese out of your mouth if you aren't quick enough tchgrin
At least they're all just about turkeyed out now!

Thanks Phoenix and Glass OH has been much happier over Christmas. I had been doing lots of overtime to keep us afloat but that has now finished so the timing could not be better . Good luck to your DH Phoenixsmile
