Good Morning Everyone,
Its looking a nice bright start here in Brackley this morning,
Mick

Good morning!

It is a bright start here today which is good as we are meeting DSil at Clumber Park later. We periodically meet up half way between us and walk their dog, have lunch and a good catch up. Their son has just started chemo therapy and BiL has just had a chest xray so hopefully we can cheer them up!

Enjoy your days everyone, whatever you are doing! [sunshine ]

Good morning everyone. It sounds dry out there but one neighbour kept their car running for a while so could that mean a spot of frost? Just checked - weak sunshine but no frost smile

Enjoy your day too kittylester

Good morning from Florida. What a day yesterday. Fifteen hour journey from Malta ( how you Oz grans manage I just don't know!) Wonderful to see DD2, SiL and DGD ( who has changed so much since our last visit) but - just my luck- my luggage is still at Gatwick angry. It is hot here and I have no comfy shoes for traipsing around theme parks all day. Just hope my case turns up later.
I missed you all yesterday when I couldn't check in to see what you were all up to! Hope you all have a good day sunshine

Nelliemoser Fri 21-Feb-14 08:32:04

Bellasnan You will have to pop out and buy some "pants" as in the British understanding of that word and a pair of trainers.
You could send the bill for new knickers to your airline company. grin. Have a lovely time despite your lack of undies.

PRINTMISS Fri 21-Feb-14 08:35:05

Good morning all from the really bright and sunny south coast, off to lunch with friends later on, so washing on, then a quick shop and the rest of the day eating and chatting. Hope you all enjoy your day.

Bellasnana Fri 21-Feb-14 08:41:58

grin Nellie! Actually, the airline graciously allowed me $80 for 'essentials' but I do have some spare undies in my hand luggage so am ok on that score! It's the shoes that's the problem - I bought some but I foresee blisters by the end of the day unless I can get some plasters ( or band aids,)
What a fiasco, though. Our original flight was cancelled so we are already here a day later than planned, lost a paid for night in the hotel as well. Am sure Mr Branson doesn't have these problems!
Good day again smile

Good morning from a very wet SW France - absolutely pouring and a bit chilly out. Probably popping out shopping with a friend later.
Enjoy your days.

NanKate Fri 21-Feb-14 08:56:12

Morning Mick hope you had a good day in Derby.

Hello Bellasnana sorry your clothes not with you. My friend wherever she goes has a spare pair of knickers in her bag. Now I can see why she does this and No she does not have waterworks problems. wink

Hi Nelliemoser, how did your meal go recently with humourless friends?

I will be down by the sea next week Printmiss looking after grandchildren. There is something invigorating about being by the sea.

Finally sunny and bright in the Thames Valley. Off to M and S to check out the £10 meal.

Charleygirl Fri 21-Feb-14 09:03:39

Beautiful sunshine, a bit nippy but no sign of frost. How long will it last?

Penstemmon Fri 21-Feb-14 09:13:05

Bright morning here so far... looking forward to a day out with DGDs as their mum gets ready for next half term!

Galen Fri 21-Feb-14 09:19:02

Sun and showers

Oldgreymare Fri 21-Feb-14 09:21:51

Lovely day here, so far!
Went for a muddy walk yesterday, saw lots of lovely snowdrops, daffs out in sheltered gardens, and 2 shiny golden celandines at the foot of an old stone wall.... bliss!

MrsM Fri 21-Feb-14 09:23:13

Good Morning - it's nice to be back on Gransnet and it's really nice to see the sun and contemplate hanging the washing outside

ffinnochio Fri 21-Feb-14 09:44:35

Welcome back MrsM - same here re. sunshine/washing.

annodomini Fri 21-Feb-14 09:47:00

Bright and breezy in NE Cheshire. Have to get my eyes tested today. Middle distance seems a bit blurry - probably spending too much time on laptop.

lefthanded Fri 21-Feb-14 09:53:49

Showery here in South Wales. Just taken my grandson to school. Next week is half-term here so we will both get a week off! Main task for us today is to take DW's mobility scooter for repair. It's refusing to move and I suspect a burnt-out motor. Could be expensive.

harrigran Fri 21-Feb-14 10:31:35

Good morning from a bright, breezy north east. Not sure I will be going far today, had gut wrenching tummy bug yesterday courtesy of DG.

Gally Fri 21-Feb-14 10:47:07

Thunderous skies, windy and cold here in Fife. I am doing a stint of babysitting for a friend's triplet grandchildren later. There is a bit of a rota going in the village - they are just 3 months old shock

janerowena Fri 21-Feb-14 11:26:14

Brilliant sunshine in Sunny Suffolk, it was frosty this morning though. DBH just gone which has also improved the frosty atmosphere - he is off to the dentist to have an abcess dealt with so was not in the best of moods! So am relaxing a bit and bracing myself for his return, painkillers at the ready. After that I may just have to escape into the garden for a couple of days.

Marelli Fri 21-Feb-14 11:27:26

Gally shock indeed! grin
Unlike me, but I am BORED! DH has a sore back and has decided that his painkillers (although they do the job) are not to be taken by a 'real man'....hmm, which means he doesn't want to do anything or go anywhere at all. I have cleaned the bathroom and washed all the floors and feel I'm wasting a day, so I will now grab my library books and head down town to change them. You're certainly right about it being cold, though, Gally! Brrr!

annodomini Fri 21-Feb-14 11:48:35

A light shower caught me unawares when I came out of the optician's. Feeling cheerful, having been spared the expense of having new glasses.

Brendawymms Fri 21-Feb-14 12:01:23

Hi all from Canary Islands Can't sit in the sun today as have sunburn. That's just to. Make you enviousgrin

Natsnan Fri 21-Feb-14 12:07:18
