We're more than that - we deserve some respect.

Whether we're 'younger, older people' or 'older, older people' (as coined at this link and in more depth. http://www.generationboomer.co.uk/boomer-news/)

My Iranian and Afghani students were a bit shocked at the idea of calling me by my forename so they compromised by using it, prefixed by Mrs. I rather like that. Mrs Annodomini!

Once worked with a young African man who called me Princess. I commented on this, feeling rather charmed. He explained that in his culture all women when they were old were revered and looked on as Princess. Pride comes before etc etc.
