Thanks for the kind wishes. Yes, Lona there were lots of lovely cards and messages from friends and family. Gorgeous flowers arrived from DD2 and family, plus Skype calls from my dear sister and both DD's in the US, so much to be thankful for despite the difficult circumstances.

I was a bit disappointed to see Rafa go out (although his rituals are getting to be too much), but you had to admire the young man who beat him. He played amazingly well.

Rafa is out...oh dear me. It was a blistering match to watch. I somehow knew that the new kid on the block was to be Rafa's undoing [for that match, anyway]...Andy performs this afternoon. If he wins, we get to eat a Magnum dark chocolate ice cream. If he loses...a wee dram will suffice

I was very busy yesterday. Did my pal's ironing and finished off her huge collection of silver and brassware. I had shoulder ache when I returned home. MacS continues to make a slow but positive recovery. To see doctor for update on Friday. It's all such a mystery.

Galen I just know that the company of Marelli will buck you up. She has that special knack of injecting joy into the most ordinary of moments. It's a gift. x

Soop, what a lovely thing to say ! Wish Galen was able to be with us next week at Newcastle, as well as yourself, of course. Had lovely day yesterday with Marmight. Sat in her beautiful garden in the scorching hot sunshine having a cuppa and a blether, then wandered along to the pub for lunch. Very nice indeed!

Go Andy! Everything crossed. Best wishes for McS to make a wee bit bigger recovery.

No idea what Merryn meant but darling daughter spent 20 minutes yesterday looking for a requested brown crayon that wasn't a crayon and wasn't brown!
It was a blue stick!

My dog's gone in the garden for a sleep. Think my 'flipping 'eck, Andy' being repeated over and over was disturbing her afternoon nap!

Oh the agony...I was forced to eat my Magnum in order to survive what ever is to come. I fear that Andy may not survive this match.

Can't bear it and am on radio 3 cheering myself up with Barber's Violin Concerto in between having a quick flick back to the match [shriek emoticon]

Groaaaan! It's not been a good couple of days for the big players. Cilic is giving Djokovic a run for his money on the other side. I've been turning over when the Murray match has turned my hair just a little more silver.
