What do we all look like ?

I possibly might put a photo on here, if I knew how to! But possibly not, as I like the idea of anonymity.
I'm 5'5and a half, size 16, mainly wear jeans and t-shirts/sweat shirts.
Definitely not Miss World material!

I was always quite happy to post photos. Then, with pming people, on one site in particular, I mentioned a holiday I was going on to several people I chatted privately with for several years. They asked when I would be back and I told them. One man, knowing what I looked like, was waiting for me at Arrivals when my flight landed back on the Island and just walked straight up to me; I will never put up photos of me again.

I am 5' 9", still a size 10-12, with glossy brown hair that behaves beautifully, cut in a stylish bob, sparkling green eyes and am always dressed very elegantly.
I also tell whoppers.

Tall, dark n'ansome, with fine hairy fetlocks and a cold, wet nose, I carry the burdens of life on my broad back with grace, ease and dignity. All I ask is an occasional bag of oats and access to Gransnet from time to time. Simple pleasures, indeed!

Luckily shysal - I kept quiet about which part of the Island I lived on and although this chap had flirted quite a lot, I didn't expect that to happen! As you say though, it could have been much worse (he turned out to be quite harmless thankfully).

I don't think I'm anonymous looks wise cause I do go to meet ups and have had photos of those put up on here but I still don't feel happy about doing a profile/photo, mainly because I'd then feel uncomfortable about coming on here for a moan about family and the S.O. [and I SO need a moan sometimes...]

Perhaps it would be interesting to post what we think other anonymous Gnetters look like!

Teetime - I don't see you as a Sophia Loren lookalike, I think you're medium to tall (about 5' 7"), slim, blonde and sporty (what a funny word 'sporty' is, I mean it in the nicest possible sense!).

Well, try to imagine an old woman then Shysal cos that's what I am. Allbeit one who likes a bit of fun occasionally.

If only rose ....[although I used to get called carrots when I was young; alas that was before red hair was fashionable and when it was I'd gone grey then white and then the hair was just plain gone....]

I'm large, fat and have what resembles a white floor op on top of my head, glasses, swollen ankles and a very bad temper which combined with my extensive vocabulary of swear words in more than one language renders me quite formidable.

Floor mop!

Actually I don't think I'm that old. Although GSs obviously think so. (Oh the consternation when I fell off the drumming stool yesterday! ) (could have happened to anybody )

Next time I am over that way I will look for a white floor mop shouting and swearing! (Shall I shout 'hello' or run in the opposite direction? )

Spot on Anya, right on the button! I conjure up a vision of someone tall and dark with long hair and flashing eyes. Hungarian tempestuous temperament, perhaps, but with a dash of Russian reliability and endurance. And that's only my alter ego. What a load of old cobblers. Is the drumming stool one of those beatboxes that you sit on and beat, like this one Jings ? DS has one and I am seriously

Very now, I thought a drum stool was wot you sat on when drumming (like wot DD's OH uses when drumming with his band).

No. He's got one of those, but tbh I Prefer the djembe I gave him a while back.That's got a better sound - I think. They are both good though.

No, this was the stool to the drum kit. I didn't realise how mobile those things are. It kept moving after I'd perched and somehow I was sprawled backwards on the floor.

Drumming - those with tablets will know that you can download drumming and other musical things that are great fun, silent to others, and you don't have to risk slipping off the stool!
