I think T W is lovely. I mix up my two GCs names why shouldn't he? It is not difficult. He has a wonderful sense of humour he almost made the Eurovision song contest bearable with his ironic remarks.

TW has started to get on my nerves now. He should do what DH says when he can't remember which one of the 3 youngest DGDs are which and just call them 'baby'!

Not sure a 9 year old grandson would appreciate being called 'Baby' on air, kitty!

Six of my seven my GC have 3 letter names that sound very similar - and two have the same name. Needless to say I do get a bit mixed up!

Don't knock our Tel. I love him. Getting GCs' names muddled is one thing, I have sometimes, even when much younger, called each DD by the wrong name. I still do, but not often. I called DDs small son by her cat's name recently but that's because I've known the cat a lot longer. And it kind of just came out. He thought it was a joke, and laughed ! ( the child, not the cat).

I sent my older brother a 70th birthday card a year early.....He was not impressed

I'd had a difficult week with my mother winding me up about various things including saying, 'I can't believe he'll soon be 70' over and over and over again.

Not that soon apparently.

I agree it's easily done, DH is notorious for it. I've been known to call oldest DGS by DS's name. TW is ok in small doses.
Bella that made me not least because a friends new GS has what I feel is a name that should be reserved for dogs.

My DH is always calling our daughter by our granddaughter's name and vice versa bless him.

Merlotgran don't worry! Middle son who is only 35 sent his father a 70th card a year early too this week. His excuse was that he wasn't 100% sure, but didn't want to miss a milestone birthday if it was. DH was NOT amused, however I doubt if he could remember any of the DC ages if required to.

I frequently call my DGS2 by his dog's name and vice versa! I think it's because they both joined the family within a short space of time. When DGS1 (the older brother) was tiny, he often got called by their first dog's name - and I wasn't the only culprit as his dad (my DS) did as well!!

Oh and I love Terry Wogan, he was one of the best things that ever happened to the Beeb in my opinion!

Agree with you jings. When I found out he got massively paid for hosting Children in need I liked him even less if that's possible.

I tend to laugh at myself more than anything else. It is not the GC's names I get mixed up but the DC's when they are all around me I call them all whichever name comes into my mind. I do laugh out loud when they wind their father up and he simply doesn't understand.

Sometimes I even laugh out loud at what I read here.

Oh yes, a post on Fb this morning which had us both in stitches but it is too non PC to share!

My Ex husbands little thing always made me laugh.....I told him it was because he tickled my fancy .....

TW annoyed me by presenting Children in Need and asking us to send money in for the charity. He has vastly more wealth than most of us, so wouldn't it be a nice gesture if he presented the show for nothing? Or donated the amount he was paid?

mrsmopp I thought that no one was paid for being on Children in Need.

Not a big TW fan but feel the need to stand up for him and all the others because we don't know what they give to charity. If they made a big fuss and told us we wouldn't like that and if they give quietly like the rest of us some think they don't give. Damned if they do and damned if they don't

I read that TW was paid for presenting CIN, have just checked , yes he was the only presenter who asked and was paid.
