Old ads you remember

Just had our usual 'raucous' sunday family lunch. We got onto the subject of advertisements. I sang 'Opal Fruits, made to make your mouth water' (then the rest of it, lemon, lime, orange..... ) and 'Sorry mate, you're too late, the best peas went to Farrows'! My son sang the washing machine Calgon ad! We were in stitches remembering all the ads we grew up with. Any others?

Continuing with the alcohol theme, there was a series of ads for Fosters Lager with Paul Hogan, one of which saw him at the ballet where he exclaims, 'Strewth! There's a bloke down there with no strides on!'
And the other two series of ads that included clips from famous movies, cut with new footage to advertise Holsten Pils and the second using the tag line, 'I bet he drinks Carling Black Label!'

Then there was the little boy who goes into a shop and asks for 'Plumrose Plopped Ham with Chalk!
Or the little girl who says, 'And mummy says when I grow up, I'm going to be a right little madam!' but I can't remember what it was advertising.

Does anyone recall the day on BBC Breakfast Time in the 1980's when Fern Britton introduced the resident cookery expert with the line, 'You can always tell when Glyn Christian is in the studio because of the smell!'

Joe and Petunia???? Never heard of this one. So I googled it...
it's on YouTube.

One I never saw. Can anyone put a date to it?

Silvikrin hair spray - is she or isn’t she?

The Hovis ad with the little lad freewheeling down the hill. The name of the piece of music eludes me, but I’ve got an ear worm now as it plays in my head! ?

There's one I remember that was dire even then (early 60s?) which is probably why I remember it!

Middle aged woman in her slip, washing her hair at the washbasin. With a head full of lather she says brightly, 'The sooner I get this over with, the better - there's Prince's salmon for tea!'

Anyone else remember the 'Naughty but nice' ad for cream cakes?
I remembered it recently because we went to a 70th birthday bash - old school friend of Dh - who was the ad man at the time who dreamt it up!

My friend and I used to love the (son) 'oh Mum' and (mother) 'course you can Malcolm' ads for Vicks Sinex and of course the classic Cinzano ones, featuring Joan Collins and Leonard Rossiter.

Green line mints with the soft chewy centre.

Used to love the ad. (for a washing powder), in which a young man is left to wash his own shirt, trails powder all over the kitchen looking for the washing machine.
Used to hate the one (no idea what is was for), where a mother used to settle down to ironing all the babies terry towelling nappies.

Beattie the little madam ad I think was for Clark’s shoes?

Not sure of the Joe and Petunia ads possibly 1970’s?
