Congratulations!!

Wow ! that is a brilliant achievement in this day and age ! Very many congratulations !!

I am just about to close down my computer now, and have read all the fantastic replies to my post - never expected any of that, I have been quite overwhelmed. We usually have a celebration with friends on occasions like this, but unfortunately so may of them have died or moved, that a "gathering" would have been a sad event for us, instead we had lunch in Sainsbury's - how about that!
I am still waiting for the sapphires, although I am not sure what I would wear with them. Thank you all so much.

What a lovely post and lovely answers too. DH and I have another 15 years to go before we can equal your achievement (it's our 50th anniversary on Saturday) but yes, he still holds my hand to cross the road too!
