Cherrytree59...... It could be that people anticipate dread or happy events in different ways. Someone actually once said 'Time flies when you're having fun" ....and for someone enduring intense, physical pain, it's likely that time would pass more slowly.
...but this was more about Friday's happening too often these days, or something to that effect....
That difference between our ever increasing chronological age and a stationary unit of time, is a gap that only grows wider as we get older. That might explain why one week, (relative to our ever increasing age), would feel shorter and happen much faster for a 60 year old than say, a 25 year old.
To your question: As I said, people anticipate joy or fear differently. Perhaps others here can provide additional insight.
