If it was free, what personal servant would you have?

Following on from another thread which related that the Queen has a Piper to wake her up, what would you like to have to help you out?
I think I would have a chef, healthy meals prepared for me
( they would have to do the food shop as well and be able to hide anything fattening) then when I reached my ideal weight, a loyal dressmaker.
Actually a Chauffeur might be nice too. I don’t think that one servant will be enough!

I’d like a dental hygienist to clean my teeth , after the perfect chef has cooked and cleaned up the kitchen

Hi Cherrytree 59, I thought that Genie's only allowed you 3 wishes? You would have to word it very carefully.

I'm with Envious - I’d want a masseuse/masseur and have a massage any time I wanted!

I already have a cleaner - in fact they came today! I also have a gardener. Someone to valet and wash my car would be nice. Living in the country means it gets splashed with mud.

I'm another wanting a genie. Not the hassle of really having to manage lists of things to be done..just thinking..oh the wind I'd getting up & I forgot to put the seedling trays away..click of the fingers & it's done. Instead I have had to put on my fleece, garden clogs , abandon the soup making, go to put said seedlings back in the greenhouse, hair blown all over the place, wash hands again and return to slicing leeks! With a genie to call on I could have just got on reading my book! grin

I need someone to do everything for me.

alexjackman01 Thu 07-Apr-22 12:02:57

Does that include getting foot massages?

MissAdventure Thu 07-Apr-22 12:04:21

I'm sure I could include that. smile

alexjackman01 Thu 07-Apr-22 12:10:13

Cuz I meant what I said that I’m open if anyone else is. Of course, for free.

Redhead56 Thu 07-Apr-22 12:12:16

Wouldn't have a servant even for free.

MissAdventure

I need someone to do everything for me.

Me too. ?.

MissAdventure Thu 07-Apr-22 12:17:31

My friend and I saw an advert for a man who wanted to pay to be a womans footstool, once.
We were thinking of giving it a go.

MissAdventure Thu 07-Apr-22 12:18:30

Well, that didn't make much sense.. I know what I meant though.

CraftyGranny Thu 07-Apr-22 12:23:38

If you had a genie, and only got three wishes, you could wish for three more wishes with the last one smile and so on!

I wouldn’t have servants if I could manage to slum it myself, they are such a tie, finding good ones is so difficult. Staff don’t make life less complicated just more hassle.

MissAdventure Thu 07-Apr-22 12:27:03

You'd need a slave rather than a servant.
A slave only has the rights you deign to allow.

When I lived in China I had a housekeeper who cleaned, cooked, shopped and looked after my DD3 when she was at home. (We privately paid her and her insurance as the government system took half her wage) .
The joy of coming home from work and sitting down and playing with my daughter was incredible.
Nowadays, I would like a cleaner (my younger self) to make my home sparkling squeaky clean.

timetogo2016 Thu 07-Apr-22 12:33:47

Someone to clean the car inside and out.
And see to the tyre pressures.
Dh does the housework and a little cooking.

alexjackman01 Thu 07-Apr-22 12:43:04

What rights would those be? Lol

Redhead56 Thu 07-Apr-22 12:45:56

Katie59 when we ran our business staff were most certainly a hassle. We only employed a couple part time when they left life was so much easier.

Thread is 4 years old

Urmstongran Thu 07-Apr-22 13:00:21

Another very old thread hijacked by a poster for other purposes! 4y old. They jump onto the end in the hope to advertise. How many of us read the thread and only when posters who are no longer regulars (sadly) we then think “hang on a minute” and only then check the dates!

Same here Kittylester- I hate bed changing day and putting the cover on a 10.5 tog duvet is the bane of my life. Im no Anthea Turner but I bet she’d struggle too!
A chef who’d cook what I desired for my meals in a healthy way would also be a boon! smile

Luckygirl3 Thu 07-Apr-22 13:42:45

Chauffeur to drive me around and above all else clean the car!

Millie22 Thu 07-Apr-22 13:55:28

Oh alex you are a laugh.

#old thread

I think that much recited adage "what did your last servant die of....hard work I suppose " of my youth must have had something of an effect because I think I'd feel a bit guilty. So I'd have a robot who would be a general factotum, chef, clearer upper whatever I felt necessary Happy in the knowledge it wouldn't expire from hard work!
