If it was free, what personal servant would you have?

Following on from another thread which related that the Queen has a Piper to wake her up, what would you like to have to help you out?
I think I would have a chef, healthy meals prepared for me
( they would have to do the food shop as well and be able to hide anything fattening) then when I reached my ideal weight, a loyal dressmaker.
Actually a Chauffeur might be nice too. I don’t think that one servant will be enough!

I need a woodcutter.

Baggs Thu 07-Apr-22 15:22:51

Kalu

I would love to have a ‘my man’ who would be responsible for ALL house maintenance inside and out. To be able to hand over my, to do list, would be bliss.

I need one of those too.

Have you thought of looking around the forest?
Little red riding hood had some luck finding one there. smile

I'd just like some wonderful person to keep an eye on my glasses, the sellotape, my remote controls, my Switch control, my keys etc etc

The amount of time I must waste searching for these items. It probably takes up half the day

All my dearly beloved says is where did you have them last. I've told him if he ever says that again he's going to end up living in the garage.

A housekeeper for me. I hate housework.

Charleygirl5 Thu 07-Apr-22 15:56:21

I am offering my services as a food shopper- I love supermarkets. Unfortunately you will have to cook your own meals.

I also do not mind cleaning bathrooms and loos. You would be able to dine there after I had finished.

No matter how old this thread is my wish would be the same as KittyL. A bed stripper/changer and then a fight with the duvet cover. Bane of my life......

I was only thinking this afternoon that I need to get hold of a footstool before my upcoming op so that I can keep my leg elevated. You don't have that guy's number do you MissAdventure? grin

MissAdventure Thu 07-Apr-22 20:45:13

grin
How funny!
There's none so queer as folk, eh?

As I get older the more I hate housework -so someone to do that please .
I don't mind gardening even if it hurts my back and knee .
I'm okay with cooking - I cheat a lot !
Like Envious yes please to a masseuse .
What total bliss !

BlueBelle Thu 07-Apr-22 21:49:17

Just a cleaner I hate housework

BigBertha1 Thu 07-Apr-22 22:07:43

A masseuse/physio for me to for my eternal backache.

Moggycuddler Fri 08-Apr-22 11:16:43

Back scratcher and masseuse. Chauffeur. And cat loo scooper. :-)

Alioop Fri 08-Apr-22 11:20:46

I think a cleaner, especially for the windows!

jaylucy Fri 08-Apr-22 11:27:36

A hairdresser on call !
Hate washing my hair as I always seem to get shampoo or conditioner in my eyes at some point, somehow!
I can never ever get my hair to look the same as a hairdresser can do with blow drying either!

Worthingpatchworker Fri 08-Apr-22 11:34:35

Absolutely a housekeeper….someone to keep the place clean, tidy and well stocked enabling me to get on with the garden and my sewing. My husband is passionate about cooking so, when he retires, that will be his sole domain….merely my route to the garden……
I don’t mind doing the laundry but I’ve had enough of ironing!

Grantanow Fri 08-Apr-22 11:39:59

A housekeeper and gardener/chauffer - a couple to live in our (non-existent) flat over the stable but in addition a live-in qualified nurse for our declining years.

Granny1810 Fri 08-Apr-22 11:50:31

I would have the human equivalent of a Swiss army knife

Gwenisgreat1 Fri 08-Apr-22 11:54:15

I would have someone to remember all the things I forget!!

knspol Fri 08-Apr-22 11:54:56

Definitely a cleaner/housekeeper for me as a first choice then the chef to prepare healthy meals. Like the idea of a masseuse too but don't want to be extra greedy, really I'd be ecstatic if someone would just clean the bathrooms for me.

grandtanteJE65 Fri 08-Apr-22 11:58:48

I would like a gardener, but not for free!

What a truly horrible thought, expecting someone to work for nothing!

Madmother21 Fri 08-Apr-22 11:59:23

‘im indoors loves cooking, we enjoy food shopping so no problem there. But I would love a really good cleaner who really does get into the nooks and crannies and keeps the house pristine. Also a personal shopper for clothes…I hate clothes shopping!

grandMattie Fri 08-Apr-22 12:00:02

A cleaner, but like gtJE65 above, I’m very happy to pay!

Spec1alk Fri 08-Apr-22 12:12:54

I always said if I won the lottery I would have my own hairdresser. Now to me, that would be luxury!!

MissAdventure Fri 08-Apr-22 12:19:31

I think the working for nothing idea is so that nobody can pop up and point out that some people havent enough money to even heat their homes... blah blah,,, as they do.
