Ha !! I know how you feel Grey !! BUT mine like me to keep them in mind as I tidy up and find all the things they left behind !!

If I'm honest Grey the cake was pretty bad ! 2 days in the fridge didn't help it - the ganache just melted every time i took it out ...and even my chocoholics after a bite or two decided it wasn't worth wasting the calories on LOL

Its a catch up day here today , I have crafting to do, laundry waiting for me and all that stuff !!

Hope you have a little sun shining on you all !!

Haircut today - at last. I'm giving my hairdresser one more chance. Her mind wasn't on it last time. I'm making inquiries from friends whose hair looks good. I saw a couple of grey squirrels playing 'chase' in the nearby trees the other day. I wonder if they were male and female and there will be even more squirrels soon! Going to cinema to see Verdi's Macbeth live from Covent Garden tonight. Can't wait!

ann I’d love to import some squirrels, grey will do . Have to see if we can work out how . Good luck with the hairdresser anno, the haircut matters doesn’t it?

Just about had it.
A comment DD once made (within earshot of DGS) about not giving a flying duck is bubbling close to the surface.

Thanks corner, the hair looks OK now though what it will look like when I've washed and dried it myself is anyone's guess.
Maw - don't know about the flying duck, but you seem to be regarded by some as a sitting duck. They are just lying in wait for you!

Poor Hattie just got shouted at for running upstairs and jumping on my bed (white sheets) with very muddy paws. I am not proud of myself and expect Charleygirl and the heavy squad along with Sam and Tara will be round to sort me out. ???

Now that I've completed the water-colour painting marathon (for the family gifts) I have a kitchen and utility room ready waiting for a make-over.

Before I begin, I have a few odd jobs to tackle. May be that the decorating session will be on hold until tomorrow.

I'm keeping a close watch on the kitchen's status. It won't be too long before we all move on and pop the cork to celebrate yet another opening.

I am sure that Hattie understands although she may well be a bit puzzled. Tara is out exploring so I will not see her until 7pm ish.

If you have been upset by a remark you have made on another thread, how often have I told you to stay here! I do get cross but not rudely cross if you know what I mean!

soop is another one who keeps repeating herself and it all falls on deaf ears.

Will we move to another fresh kitchen and then settle down?

Sorry Maw you will have realised I got the wrong end of the stick.
Life is hard enough without extra hassle.
We have only one more visit from the carers, on Friday.
It will be a huge relief to me as H mithers from 7am until they come which is anytime after 11am.
By the time they go I am somewhat frayed at the edges.
A real April day here, sunshine and showers in quick succession.
My small freezer has given up the ghost today, I have had to cram everything in the other one so it is roast lamb tonight, no room for it, well that is my story.
In less than 15 months all my appliances except for the microwave,the cheapest of course, have been replaced.
It is a good job I never go out, I couldn't afford it?

ann I know it is difficult without the carers but it appears to be ten times worse with them. At least you will have the house to yourself once they have finished their so called contract.
