Lovely sons-in-law

There are a lot of sad posts about awkward DILS - and I really feel for those involved in these difficult relationships.

We hear little about sons-in-law; so I just wanted to say that I have 3 of these creatures and they are lovely!

Anyone else blessed with lovely sons-in-law?

Mine are all very different in personality and background, but they share a devotion to our DDs, a sense of integrity, honesty, a willingness to work hard to support their families and kindness. We love them all.

Great post Luckygirl,
Spot on Radicalnan, couldn't agree more.
Never too late to say something nice Pollyperkins.
Reading about all the wonderful sons-in-law could it be that we mothers of sons have done a splendid job!
Is there a 'tongue in cheek' icon?

My DH died last week and my lovely SIL has gone above and beyond the call of duty. He is a treasure and he worships the ground my DD walks on.

So sorry to hear about your DH Blue45 but glad you are receiving brilliant support from your SiL.

I have 3 Sons in Law, all as different as chalk from cheese and all wonderful with their wives, my 3 daughters, and great Dads to their children. I've recently moved nearer DD1 and SiL. He turned up unannounced with ladder and saw last week and spent half a day removing the climber which was eating up the front of my new house. Then he and SiL no3 who was visiting for the w/e played Pickfords & relocated my furniture after I'd decided to swap dining for sitting room. The 3rd, who lives in Oz, bravely puts up with me for weeks on end when I visit. Not many blokes would do that! I am so thankful for them all

We have one DD and rue the day she met her husband. He has destroyed our family as we knew it. She is isolated from everyone. If he became an ex sil I would be delighted.
