Hello all, and sending rather damp good wishesblush

I am currently battling a bit of bronchitis/chest infection.

The disturbed sleep, I can put up with, after all MR P's alarm clock goes off at 4.30 (although Minnie will often disturb him before then, wanting to play "mummies & kittens confused)

However, despite using (ahem) what another GN member said that her DH referred to as piddle pads", I am on my 3rd pair of pants & trousers today shockblush

Thank goodness I'm at home, and not at work, damp denim would just be so embarrassing.

Not a happy Phoenix.

Poor you, hope the infection clears soon and the bladder calms down very quickly x

Maggiemaybe Wed 17-Oct-18 16:53:39

Oh no, phoenix. I take it it’s the coughing wot done it?

lemongrove Wed 17-Oct-18 17:33:40

Lose the tea and coffee, even the decaff.
Water and juice only.

i had a bout of bronchitis one summer after swimming in the sea at Yarmouth. I have never felt or looked so ill.wishing you a speedy recovery flowers.Try chicken soup they say it is good when feeling poorly [roast chicken]

There is a bronchitic bug doing the rounds and it does make one miserable and ill. To have bladder problems as well is adding insult to injury.

I hope you feel better soon.

I hope you get better soon phoenix flowers

Time for a visit to the GP?
I know we mustn't over-use antibiotics but sometimes they are necessary.

cornergran Wed 17-Oct-18 20:02:38

Oh phoenix, not funny is it? Sounds as if a trip to the surgery would be a good plan. Hope you get a restful night.

Luckygirl Wed 17-Oct-18 20:04:56

Oh you poor thing - I hope your immune system is going full guns and that you will surface soon.

nanaK54 Wed 17-Oct-18 20:10:54

Thank you all, your responses are appreciated,

Yours, still damply,

Phoenix

(Cough, cross legs, bugger, swear, tut, shake head, bathroom AGAIN )

phoenix Wed 17-Oct-18 21:50:45

PS, so you think it's acceptable to go to bed with a towel tucked between your legs?blush

phoenix Wed 17-Oct-18 21:57:52

Bugger, meant to say "do" not "so" blush

Please, please please can we have an edit facility!

Doodle Wed 17-Oct-18 22:01:12

Got a commode phoenix? Sorry. Shouldn't indulge in toilet humour when you are feeling so poorly ??
Hope you feel much better soon.

Doodle Wed 17-Oct-18 22:08:23

At least your problem is cough related phoenix. My bladder sometimes feels it's held on long enough by the time I get to the bathroom door blush

phoenix Wed 17-Oct-18 22:12:57

Right, even though I have a raised temperature, I will go to bed wearing knickers, with a piddle pad attached, AND my towelling bathrobe!

MissAdventure Wed 17-Oct-18 22:14:27

I'm exactly the same when I have a night time cough.
They don't seem to make a pad absorbent enough.

phoenix Wed 17-Oct-18 22:17:36

MissA so glad it's not only me!

MissAdventure Wed 17-Oct-18 22:41:01

These are very good, they hold a good couple of pints! blush

Jalima1108 Wed 17-Oct-18 23:11:02

I like the fact that it is called 'Kylie'!

Letting us know it's not just the Elsies, Gertrudes etc who may have problems.

MissAdventure Wed 17-Oct-18 23:12:17

It sounds quite trendy doesn't it?
Taking Kylie to bed..

Jalima1108 Wed 17-Oct-18 23:14:16
