What do people think about the young woman who ran away to join ISIS and now wants to return here to have her baby in safety?
I don't know what to think. I'm sorry her last babies died but I'm horrified to hear her dismiss unbelievers' heads in bins as 'enemies of Islam'. Any thoughts?

Pandering to religions and practises and fear of being called racist.

Bullying is constantly posting that a poster is stupid, ill informed and shouldn’t post.

Being deleted should make you apologise and be kind.

Buffybee Sat 16-Feb-19 18:09:02

maryeliza you just don't give up, do you?
There have been at least a dozen posters on this thread who have criticized your aggressive way of posting and now GNHQ seems to agree.
You can post any opinion that you want but it's only your opinion that whatever you say, is correct.
What is unacceptable maryeliza is the way that you attack other posters in an over the top, nasty manner.
There are ways to speak to other people, especially people that you don't even know.
No-one thinks that you are clever behaving in this way, in fact you are embarrassing yourself.

Off to remember the beautiful innocent 15 year old girls killed in Manchester. They deserve our compassion for what they will never have

She doesn’t

I think that says it all, Mycatisahacker

I really do not care what becomes of her. Her fate was and is in her own hands.

She is carrying the baby of a member of ISIS too. They are cold-blooded, barbaric murderers, and if we could wipe such terrorist groups off the face of the earth the planet would be better for it.

Remember their victims.

Please could you explain why exactly Lily65?

It is relevant, part of the wider picture.

maryeliza54 Sat 16-Feb-19 18:18:22

I’m not the slightest bit embarrassed BB and couldn’t give a flying fig about being criticised on this thread. I would be embarrassed about getting my facts wrong but there you go - each to their own

Buffybee Sat 16-Feb-19 18:19:33

Lily65, if posters want to post about the loss of innocent children's lives at Manchester Arena, then they are entitled to do so.
We are discussing someone associated with and ISIS terrorist, the same type of people who carry out bombings in our country.
It is very relevant.

Lily65 Sat 16-Feb-19 18:25:23

1. the person approached by The Times, we don't know everything, surprise surprise the press have an agenda.
2. In answer to the question, I would not be in favour of allowing her to return unless she could provide useful information.
3. The discussion is wandering all over the place , mentioning FGM, the Jewish religion, grooming gangs and people allegedly getting council housing.
4. The loss of life at Manchester Arena possibly deserves another thread
5. maryliza expresses her views in an articulate and forthright manner which is not bullying.

Jalima1108 Sat 16-Feb-19 18:25:57

I wasn't involved in the heated discussion on this thread but would it be a good idea to move on?

Lily65 Sat 16-Feb-19 18:26:44

btw re loss of lives tens of thousands in Iraq.

Jalima1108 Sat 16-Feb-19 18:28:00

The loss of life at Manchester Arena possibly deserves another thread
There was one, if not more, at the time and it is not entirely irrelevant here as the perpetrator was a 'soldier of the caliphate' as is SB's Dutch husband.

GrannyGravy13 Sat 16-Feb-19 18:28:11

I did get the girls and fathers muddled up, I have apologised, thank you for pointing out Maryeliza.

I do understand that when people are passionate about a subject posts can get "overheated".

GrannyGravy13 Sat 16-Feb-19 18:29:41

I might add that I did apologise first thing this morning, after donning my correct glasses.

Chewbacca Sat 16-Feb-19 18:33:08

Gonegirl

How bad do you think her actions were Chewbacca? Going out there as a starry-eyed schoolgirl to marry, what she thought of as, a 'brave warrior?

Apologies, I've been out all day and so late in my response.

I think her actions were beyond what I am capable of forgiving. Had she shown any signs of regret or remorse, I would possibly feel that she should be given a second chance. But she's neither apologetic nor regretful and, until she acknowledges the mistakes that she's made and the impact of what she's contributed to, she's beyond redemption imo.

Buffybee Sat 16-Feb-19 18:36:18

maryeliza expresses her views in an articulate and forthright manner which is not bullying.

In your opinion, Lily65!

GNHQ have deleted one of her nasty posts and many posters on this thread have taken maryeliza to task regarding her forthright rude way of posting.

You are entitled to your opinion, of course.

petra Sat 16-Feb-19 18:39:44

GG13
Is it a coincidence that she phoned her father just a couple of months ago hmm wink

GrannyGravy13 Sat 16-Feb-19 18:46:18

Petra I do not think SB has done anything by accident.

It might be an unpopular view, but she was reported as being an intelligent and well read young woman, who in my opinion has turned into a cold and calculating terrorist sympathiser.

None of us will ever know what she has witnessed or partaken of whilst she was a member of Daesh.

Buffybee Sat 16-Feb-19 18:56:23

I agree GrannyGravy, the interview which she gave with the reporter made me shudder.
She is unrepentant, very articulate and hard faced.
I can imagine that she would be capable of anything!

merlotgran Sat 16-Feb-19 19:07:45

We must trust our Intelligence Service where national security is concerned. It's their information that will determine whether or not she will be allowed to return to the UK.

Urmstongran Sat 16-Feb-19 19:14:58

I would imagine that now SB has such a high profile, we’re she to come back she would be monitored more closely than the norm.

I just despair why those who hate us so much (and wish us harm) don’t just bugger off to wherever they consider ‘home’.

Don’t bang the door on the way out. You won’t be misssed.

Buffybee Sat 16-Feb-19 19:23:32

I agree Urmstongran!!
If I had to flee my own country because I was being persecuted or in fear of my life, I would be eternally grateful to whichever country took me in and gave me shelter.

Mycatisahacker Sat 16-Feb-19 19:30:14

Oh Granny ignore her.

Shes been deleted and she knows she should apologise.

Daily Telehraph 15th Feb - I read it online and cannot copy it all.

.” The Home Office said last year that 40 had been taken to court out of 400 who had returned from Syria.”

“Almost all are instead placed on rehabilitation courses. Home Office sponsored schemes are understood to include medical help, including mental health treatment, mentoring and council house accommodation”

GrannyGravy13 Sat 16-Feb-19 19:48:34

Starbird returning terrorist sympathisers seem to get better treatment than our armed services personnel who have been in the forefront of trying to defeat Daesh in several countries over many years!!!

starbird Sat 16-Feb-19 20:00:24

Of course I have sympathy for a girl who has lost two small children, even one who is “not fazed by a severed head because he was an enemy of Islam” ie possibly British or American. I might save her life but I would not trust her an inch. She has a lot of growing up and learning to do.

The true victims however are the Syrians who have lost everything and had to join refugee camps and could be in them for years - as in decades, if they end up like those in Lebanon, putting up with malnutrition and lack of medicines. No one is going to save them in a hurry - and they were fighting against the Jihadists. It’s a sad, sad world.
