What do people think about the young woman who ran away to join ISIS and now wants to return here to have her baby in safety?
I don't know what to think. I'm sorry her last babies died but I'm horrified to hear her dismiss unbelievers' heads in bins as 'enemies of Islam'. Any thoughts?

Buffebee

How bloody heartbreaking is that.

Chewbacca smile

I know nothing, and none of us do. We are being manipulated by the media. Wake up.

Mycatisahacker Wed 20-Feb-19 21:24:10

I swear I saw Elvis standing behind her too!

Mycatisahacker Wed 20-Feb-19 21:26:30

Well we do know she left to join a death cult. We do know she married a jihadi and we do know she supported beheadings and rape, slavery and cruelty.

She told us.

So what do you know that’s different. What has the media manipulated?

Chewbacca Wed 20-Feb-19 21:31:37

You did not see Elvis standing behind her mycat; he'd already left the building! grin

Mycatisahacker Wed 20-Feb-19 21:35:40

Chewbacca

That made me spit my small mid week glass of wine out grin

When she went out to Syria, she thought she was signing up to a winning invincible cause. She never ever thought through to any endgame.

I think when things began to go wrong, she just expected that someone would rescue her, I mean she was a British citizen and Britain was an open society, where you could choose your religious and political beliefs and discuss them openly.

She is one of a cossetted generation, who have been 'understood' and protected from every little problem through childhood and she just expects someone to turn up and sort out their problems no matter what the situation, while they get back to the life she had before. The idea that an apology or retraction of the beliefs that got her into this mess would be a good idea, would never occur to her.

All of a sudden she has had to grow up and realise, that when you get yourself into a mess, you have to get yourself out of it.

As for being drugged, under coercion etc etc, I doubt it. She is just one more refugee mother in a large refugee camp, many of the other women will have lost children as she has, or just have given birth. she is of little propaganda value and no monetary value either. Remember, ISIS is an organisation based on total male authority, women are valueless and totally expendable.

I am in agreement with every word of chewbacca's last post. The only thing she didn't say is that the silly girl is still shovelling shit into the hole and does not realise.

I would imagine if there is no baby it won’t be something that can be kept hidden for long.

Anja Wed 20-Feb-19 21:43:12

Was there really a baby under all that wrapping? I hope the poor little mite doesn’t overheat.

Mycatisahacker Wed 20-Feb-19 21:57:17

MOnica

Oh my goodness me!!!! spot on post absolutely spot on.

I think you have encapsulated the situation in one post.

NanKate Wed 20-Feb-19 22:13:44

I watched very carefully a repeat of her interview and I saw no movement under all those black clothes. I’m sure a baby can’t breathe in that atmosphere. Maybe someone was looking after him and she was pretending to hold him. It’s all very strange.

M0nica Wed 20-Feb-19 22:39:59

Well, if the baby wasn't real, it would soon be found out when she got back to Britain. Any baby she brought back would be DNA tested to prove it was hers and they would want to give her a medical and it would soon be very clear whether she had given birth recently or not.

Indeed they might well do her medical before she returned home, in Turkey for example, if she could make it that far. I am sure that the Foreign Office are far to fly to be caught out by fake pregnancies in a case like this..

Jalima1108 Wed 20-Feb-19 22:46:06

I hope the poor little mite doesn’t overheat.
I was wonder if it could breathe!

Jalima1108 Wed 20-Feb-19 22:49:05

No other Conservative that I know of has 6 children for a start.
Not even ones who are also Roman Catholic?
I'm sure my friend votes Tory, oh, I forgot she only has five.

Jalima1108 Wed 20-Feb-19 22:53:53

I feel nothing for her.
I don't think many do buffybee
I just feel that it could be better if she is brought back here and faces what is coming to her and can be monitored more closely.
But she shouldn't be helped to get back here. Let her find her own way; she managed to get there somehow.

I've asked a couple of other times - where's the other girl?

Jalima1108 Wed 20-Feb-19 22:55:36

jalima, do you really believe the Times was doing it out of a sense of what fair play? He/she just happened upon this girl, dressed in black in a sea of girls dressed in black?

Another ridiculous post Lily

He/she is a reporter.
That's what they do
Report.

Maggiemaybe Wed 20-Feb-19 23:09:43

The journalist has said he was reporting from the refugee camp when he overheard SB talking to another woman and noticed her accent. He spoke to her and said that she was obviously from London and she replied that she was actually from Bethnal Green. It wasn't much of a leap for him to realise who she was.

Rowantree Wed 20-Feb-19 23:10:26

Compassionate lot, aren't ya?

Mycatisahacker Wed 20-Feb-19 23:13:15

Yes we are

Jalima1108 Wed 20-Feb-19 23:13:43

Yes, Rowantree.

I wept for the Yazidi women, at the Manchester bombings, at the beheading of Khaled el-Assad; I send aid to Syrian refugees fleeing from ISIS.

But I cannot weep for one who helped all these atrocities to happen.

Mycatisahacker Wed 20-Feb-19 23:14:01

Are you?

Rowantree Wed 20-Feb-19 23:14:51

jalima I agree that she should be brought back for reasons I put previously. Better to know where she is than risk her being further radicalised. There's also a fighting chance (sorry) she is serious about living quietly with her baby. let the law do what it needs to but don't try to curry votes by this stripoing of citizenship.

Jalima1108 Wed 20-Feb-19 23:16:08

Have you read any of my posts Rowantree?

Nope!

That's exactly what I have said (more than once).

Rowantree Wed 20-Feb-19 23:16:30

Me too Jalima. However, this woman hasn't been charged or tried of any crime. Surely she is entitled to that.

Mycatisahacker Wed 20-Feb-19 23:17:01

Tell us Rowantre what stirs your compassion?

You have heard ours!
