What do people think about the young woman who ran away to join ISIS and now wants to return here to have her baby in safety?
I don't know what to think. I'm sorry her last babies died but I'm horrified to hear her dismiss unbelievers' heads in bins as 'enemies of Islam'. Any thoughts?

Chewbacca I agree She sounded as thick as mince to me in those interviews to be quite honest

Chewbacca Wed 20-Feb-19 19:26:14

Never thought I'd say this but, how awful must it be to be 19 years old and know that there isn't a country in the world that wants you and is actively seeking to find an excuse, any excuse, not to have you live in their country? And even worse, you have no one but yourself to blame for the shit pile you're in?

GrannyGravy13 Wed 20-Feb-19 19:35:25

Chewbacca - ditto

Urmstongran Wed 20-Feb-19 19:35:29

True Chewbacca well thought out.

She sounded depressed too. I think that she was possibly a girl who worked hard and did what she was told in school & was on track to do well in GCSE. Does not necessarily mean she was 'intelligent' emotionally or socially.. (Not trying to raise sympathy just stating my opinion of her demeanour)

^Greydiuster*
the way they have plundered and destroyed their way through some of the most precious ancient sites in the Middle East in their quest to suppress history, art and beauty. And those, Like Khaled al-Assad, who seek to stand against them and protect these treasures? They tortured him and cut off his head. When IS first put its head above the parapet, it was treated as a joke
I wept when I saw that report.

Does this stupid, stupid young woman have any idea of what she has done?

I'm perplexed that SB is being described as an intelligent woman. From the interviews with her that I've watched, her intelligence seems modest to say the least and her actions over the past 4 years don't appear to indicate any level of intelligence whatsoever.

Yes, as GG13 says, it was reported that she was a straight A student.
But with not a modicum of common sense.

Well, she's 19 with a baby, a husband goodness knows where, perhaps dead, and stuck in a refugee camp.
Rather like some of the women who fled from ISIS.

Tell me more about "thick as mince" which has been mentioned at least twice now.

She looks unwell to me, drugged, depressed, lying, a gun pointed at her head , who knows?

What a coups for the Times reporter, a few quid in her/his pocket.

Mycatisahacker Wed 20-Feb-19 20:28:30

Cheebacca

I know I know and I have a 19 year old dd.

My dd is passionate about climate change, photography and animal welfare raised here just like Shamima. My dd is disgusted with her interviews.

I think again of beautiful dead teenagers in Manchester and I look sgsin at this woman and I see a woman who has embraced evil and hate and supported it until She felt things were too uncomfortable for her.

Cold, remorseless, hard, cruel. Violent and no empathy.

I wouldn’t want her anywhere near my 19 year old dd.

Jalima1108 Wed 20-Feb-19 20:29:31

a gun pointed at her head
I think a reporter and a film crew may have noticed that and reported it, if not then, at least later.

This is a refugee camp not a war zone.

Jalima1108 Wed 20-Feb-19 20:30:54

That is very nasty.

Reporters take their own lives into their hands to bring us the news from these countries.

Mycatisahacker Wed 20-Feb-19 20:31:23

Lily

Exactly you don’t know we can however know the well documented facts.

I have worked with drug addicts! She’s not on drugs. She may well be depressed. That’s not an excuse for her previous behaviour.

Gun to her head?? Karma

Mycatisahacker Wed 20-Feb-19 20:32:50

Attack the journalists.

Now who does that? Hard left hard right

Jalima1108 Wed 20-Feb-19 20:33:57

She looks unwell to me, drugged, depressed, lying, a gun pointed at her head , who knows?

depressed - probably, now she has read the letter sent to her parents
drugged? By whom?
a gun pointed at her head

Ridiculous

Mycatisahacker Wed 20-Feb-19 20:36:31

I expect there’s plenty of skunk knocking around the refugee camp! hmm

Jalima1108 Wed 20-Feb-19 20:38:12

Oh yeah, and guns too!!

Not.

Chewbacca Wed 20-Feb-19 20:42:47

Drugged? Hmmm, probably not.
Depressed? I would imagine so; who wouldn't be in the same situation? But she is the architect of the her own misery and so little none sympathy from me.
A gun to her head? Nah! And if there was, it wouldn't faze her because, apparently, nothing does.

Mycatisahacker Wed 20-Feb-19 20:49:28

Not even a child’s severed head God help her

Lily65 Wed 20-Feb-19 20:58:31

jalima, do you really believe the Times was doing it out of a sense of what fair play? He/she just happened upon this girl, dressed in black in a sea of girls dressed in black?

She was shocked by the decision of our Home Secretary. I think it’s starting to dawn on her, the enormity of her situation.

She is starting to sound a bit more apologetic.
I think she is being coached now.

Lily65 Wed 20-Feb-19 21:12:52

Do you really buy all this stuff at face value?

Chewbacca Wed 20-Feb-19 21:14:39

Calling another poster "thick" is rude, bad mannered and demonstrates a paucity of rational debate.

Mycatisahacker Wed 20-Feb-19 21:14:44

Mmmm well no I am not thick enough to think this woman is on drugs? Maybe your superior knowledge of the machinations of drug dealers in a refugee camp could instruct us all?

I think your post was laughably ridiculous but please go ahead. Educate us all

Buffybee Wed 20-Feb-19 21:14:49

I really can't get my head around the two or three people on this thread who are excusing the behavior of and defending this vile woman.
Alix Klis 21 appeared on This Morning, both her parents were killed in Manchester while waiting for her and her 13 year old sister to come out of the arena. She is now the legal guardian of her sister and trying to pick up the pieces of her life.
I feel sorry for her and all the other's who have lost family to the mindless savages which Begum supports and approves of.
I feel nothing for her.

Mycatisahacker Wed 20-Feb-19 21:17:05

do you really buy all this stuff at face value

Again educate us oh wise one. What do you know we don’t? Are you MI5:6 or just a gransnetter going on what we actually know like the rest of us
