Well of course it’s up to me Gonegirl , who else would it be up to? Shrug ?

I carried my babies in all kinds of places, all kinds of uneven ground in all kinds of weather. Thank goodness I wasn’t married or in a relationship ship with a Prince or a pop star. I was able to just get on with my life. Same thankfully for my daughters, they take their babies everywhere.. Well except the wedding of a lifetime pal, so we have two under threes and a spare dog here for two nights. Shall I start a thread saying I’m exhausted (true) or feel put upon (untrue) ??

She hasn’t got the hang of holding the baby is a judgement

Well, no, it's an observation.

In fact, we all judge. We can accept that some judgements may be cruel or inaccurate but I'd say she IS holding the baby awkwardly, but that happens.

We look, observe and we assess, we may judge. That's life. Even the nicest people hold their own interpretations of things they observe. It is not a crime.

To be truthful, she's holding him like he's a precious bundle, which he is.

Agree Day6

No difference in liking or not liking a frock,

I watched a mum yesterday tying her large toddler on to her back in a large cotton shawl, arms pinned down at his sides. Fascinating to watch how she did it! Within a couple of minutes a rather noisy, busy little boy transformed into a sleeping angel smile

Would it work on an 11 year old, I'm wondering? grin

Not sure - DGS is 11 and probably as tall as me!

Leave the new mum alone. Archie wasn't crying or going red in the face so probably quite comfy and happy. It really is nothing to do with us.

This is how to carry a baby ?
