I’ve just ordered an water jet interdental cleaner! I’m so excited as I didn’t get one for Christmas. What’s the gift you would buy yourself? (Beside sentimental family time stuff)

I ordered a new coat from a retailer having a sale! Grey, wool, 3/4, classic.

I've loved reading this thread. I often used to buy myself a Christmas present, wrap it and put it under the tree. In pre-Kindle times it was often a book that I really wanted. This Christmas I treated myself to a vintage Hermès scarf in a mistletoe and holly design that I had been want wanting for some time. It has given me such pleasure to wear it.

Some lovely quilting fabric in a sale, and a huge cast iron casserole dish because I love one-pot meals that I can just shove in the oven and leave to cook while I do something more interesting, like quilting. I'm also very tempted by a new phone, mine is 10 years old and I'm beginning to notice it's limitations.

A new kindle as mine never holds it's charge long enough (it shows no battery about 10 seconds after unplugging it) and I've had it yonks so treated myself.

I'm not counting my ”idly browsing Amazon on next day delivery after a glass or two of festive cheer” purchases! grin

LightAmber, good for you. My Kindle has just the same bad habits and I have long considered replacing it but it might have to wait a bit longer!

A brown Radley handbag in the sale

I bought myself a new bag for work. A new "drawstring" makeup bag which apparently are "great!" Also a book called "Feel better in Five." Yet another self help book! hmm

Oh, and two matching bras and knickers. Haven't worn matching for years!

Vitasol your post made me titter. I was congratulated by my lovely female GP on having matching underwear. It made the embarrassing consultation so much more lighthearted. ?

Also. Have you any self help books on spendaholicism? (No offence intended) ?
