Sorry to be a misery but I have to download and fill in a paper if I want to go out and I live in a flat ?. However, in the last few days I have changed the bed, cleaned the balcony and have sorted out papers so it’s not all bad. Take care everyone

I have been at work all day but have just heard that all Slimming World groups are cancelled so I shall eat all the things I shouldn't!!

Noreen3 I hope you enjoyed your glass of Guinness to your DH. We've spent some lovely holidays in Ireland and have wonderful memories. My treat to my conscience today was visiting the care home with some daffs, a small happiness when the world doesn't make much sense. And DGC and family are self-isolated so I'm making the most of home time. I didn't have time refused to panic buy so I'll def be making banana bread and other treats using all those store cupboard ingredients that I knew would come in useful some time! Hope you all continue to find small moments of happiness in the days to come.

Yes Happy st Patrick's day to everyone. We usually go out and have a bit of a St paddy's party in the city and stay in hotel overnight. Not tonight though
Had to cancel but had an evening of Guinness, Baileys and listened to Christy Moore.
I'm not Irish but DH family originate from West Coast Ireland so we always make an effort.

OH drove me to the beach to collect seaweed for the garden plus some nice rocks to put around the edges of my large pots to stop the blackbirds from tearing everything out.

Will cook a pasta dish for tea and do some gardening this afternoon - can't go out for a meal due to the virus!

fatgran did you know that under the Costal Protection Act it is illegal to take sand, rocks or pebbles from a beach.?You might say it is only one or two, but if we all did it our coastline would be compromised. You could be prosecuted. We live very near the sea and I know the temptation to bring home one or two pebbles in your pocket. But please don't .

On another note I was saying about whether to go ahead and buy a shed and my DD replied ‘You Don’t need a shed you have the whole house to craft in’. Was that the right thing to say to me ???

Flippin’ heck, *BBbevan, is that right? I live near lots of beaches and I have taken so many big pebbles I’d be doing a twenty-five year stretch if I’d been caught! (I did replace the seagull, though. Far too noisy).

What a lovely idea, only just seen, but I went for an hours walk yesterday with earphones and phone tuned into BBC Essex and came back feeling a lot happier than I went out. Keep safe everyone and try to find at least one thing in these hard times that makes you happy.

I went to our allotment with my gd who's 2 and we did some weeding. The sun came out, there was only one op there. It was lovely, cheered me up.

Ever since I can remember people have gone to this particular little bit of beach to collect seaweed, often trailer loads of it. It mounds up to huge piles and is always washing up on the beach.

Yesterday I found a planter that had last year's Snakes head fritillaries in it down the side of my shed.It had been moved and forgotten in my autumn clear up.Up they have popped and I have put them on the table outside our garden room.This afternoon I'm going to get my coffee and book and have a lovely hour or two reading,admiring them and the birds visiting our feeders.

We will be walking along the coast path again today - South this time towards Southwold.

Talking about beach pebbles ? I know the law really it was in my brain somewhere but as my garden is dotted here and there with beach finds I have obviously forgotten, if that makes sense.
