Took my husband in the car, made him wait and share unloading. He's barely shopped in 34 years, been a learning curve. I think your husband should maybe have a go next time. You stay home and relax.

Cymres1 The day after I came out of hospital (broken ankle, loads of metalwork, temporary - huge - plaster from toes to knee), him indoors went to do the shopping. He bought most of the things on the list, in an idiosyncratic way, but also added weird stuff - smoked sprats and a tinned pie “easy for you to cook”!!!!! I went with him next time.

Oh dear my DH was so impressed by how a large supermarket (which we normally avoid) is dealing with the current situation that he applied for a temporary driver job there and got it At the age of 65. So maybe OP should send her DH to get next week’s special nuts ...

Typical man me thinks!! And I would eat the Egg. My son is the same. His poor wife has been 'out' shopping and he has 'specific needs'. He likes his pasta penne, nothing else and various other vegetarian bits and pieces. She was almost in tears as she shops for her parents too..... so I have raided my cupboards and stocked her up a little I hope. My partner on the other hand is just happy to be eating !! ( and lots of it too!)
