Today I prepared for, dressed myself up (lagged myself really), wore my disposable gloves and set out for a big shop. I make a comprehensive list the day before and don't sleep well as I dread the scary shopping situation so much but needs must.
It all went well in the shop and I found everything on my very long list including an Easter egg for DH, his special nuts, chocolate and tonic water for him.
I staggered home with 5 huge bags of stuff. What did DH say? 'Oh well, we'll we'll just have to make do with what you've got.'
Things are a bit quiet in our house this afternoon.

Don't worry. He is all in one grovelling apologetic piece. For now...

We had a Sainsbury’s delivery at 11:50 this morning. I’m furious with my husband who simply dumped all of DD’s fresh stuff in carriers on the floor of the garage instead of sorting and putting into the (empty) fridge given over for her use. Minced pork and beef, chicken breasts, cream, milk, yougurts etc. Found bags 3 hours later and it’s 18c this afternoon. Said he thought she would be round to collect shortly after. He knows she works from home all day on Wednesdays. He is about as useful as a chocolate teapot. ?

A husband here. I can't wait to actually go somewhere. I insist on driving to the supermarket and wait patiently as she collects her clicks. I pack the fridge and cupboards anyway as I complained once about poorly utilised space about 40years ago so now it's my job.

I found it funny as well.

As I am three weeks into 12 weeks isolation, I am dependent on DH to bring home the shopping.

He doesn’t usually do this, and unloads it from the car with all the pride of having brought down a woolly mammoth on a hunting trip!

His only mistake so far has been to experiment with the list by adding a bunch of kale!

Bull. Don’t you know that women, like elephants, never forget? ?

Luckily for DH I now find it funny but its gone down in family history as one of Dad's big mistakes!
