ROAST POTATOES! On a TUESDAY!!!

Deliberate shouty capitals!

Well, he's done it now, this is a step too far!

I've just about got used to the fact he's here all day, albeit mainly in the home office (wfh), and comes down for lunch (who said " I married him for better or worse, but not for lunch?) but this takes the biscuit!

When asked to buy a SMALL piece of lamb for Easter, he bought a whole leg confused at considerable expense.

So, I roasted it, then sliced the leftovers and put them in the freezer.

Tonight I had planned to heat some of it up in gravy and have it with broccoli and mashed potatoes, a tub of which I had in the freezer.

Apparently, that's not quite what he fancied! (I fancy lobster, but can't have it!)

So he said "Can we have roast potatoes for a change?"

A CHANGE? What does he think we had with the beef on Sunday??? (Which I think was only the day before yesterday, but couldn't swear to it)

So, please, may I ask, does this constitute unreasonable behaviour?

The mash would have just needed zapping in the microwave (home made mash, btw, lots of butter and black pepper, dash of cream and a hint of grated nutmeg).

But now I've got to peel, parboil etc, with more damn washing up (we don't have a dishwasher) Humph!

Perhaps I could broker a deal, I'll do the damn roast potatoes if he stops leaving the sodding toilet seat up!

And breathe..........

Definitely not cauliflower cheese with a gravy dinner, its a dish served on its own.

I haven't tried them yet.

They might be in for a long spell in the freezer.

Just boil them then saute them ,He will never know the difference

You don't need to peel them just cut the eyes off.

I'd happily eat mash with cauliflower cheese and liver and bacon. I love them and don't care about what goes with what!

Too late, cooked, eaten and washed up!

Mr P dished up, as he always does (daft rule, I cook, sit down and have my dinner served to me) and then washed up.

Thanks Tangerine but it was only partly my weak effort.
It was plagiarized from an old song titled "You're Just In Love' and meant to be sung to the tune of it.
You may be too young to have heard it but it's on YouTube by various singers and a karaoke version.

Tangerine
She is all they claim
With her eyes of blue and lips of burning flame
And I've seen
Toasts to Tangerine
Made in every bar across the Argentine.
Sure she has them all on the run
But her heart belongs to just one
Her heart belongs to Tangerine.

My dad used to sing it every morning.
It might also be on YouTube. ?
