Do you ever wish you could still be a child?

Only occasionally. I think my personal life has got better as I've aged.

The innocence of children... I don't wish I was still a child, but it would be nice if children today were not so aware of things (violence, things going on in the world).

When one of my sons was about 3, we were on a crowded bus when he pointed at a black woman and said: "Look at that lady". I was mortified, as I thought he'd meant her colour - he was referring to a woollen hat she was wearing!

A friend's daughter looked in awe at a completely bald gentleman and said, politely "hello, man....what happened?"

I happened to me today. Whilst out walking we met a most peculiar man. He was tall and dark, wore a battered bowler hat, gabardine raincoat, thick working boots and had a piece of rope tied around his waist with a dog on a lead attached to it. We said, 'Hello', and a cheery word as we passed each other on different sides of the lane. The child in me was desperate to ask this mysterious stranger if he was the Crow Man but the adult in me wouldn't allow it in case it caused offence.

But that's how he looked.

I'm sure today I met the Crow Man.
