Calling Morrisons online shoppers, please

Hi

I mentioned elsewhere that I am shopping online with Morrisons for my mum, but have this problem of only being able to view the delivery slots for the next 3 days, whereas some people (including my mum's neighbour) are able to view them for three weeks. In effect, this means that I will never see the new slots as they are released for three weeks' time, no matter how persistent I am.

To help me to try to work out why this might be, I would be really grateful if any other Morrison's online shoppers here would answer the following three questions:

1. Are you able to see more than the next three days' delivery slots? (In other words, does the 'calendar' let you view any further ahead?)

2. Are you on their priority list?

3. Roughly how long is it since you signed up with Morrison's for online shopping?

I hope you don't mind my asking. I'm hoping that I might find a common factor here, which I could then take up with Morrison's if necessary. smile

If you click on calendar it shows you the current month and highlights the days with available slots.

(I have just secured a home delivery for Sunday 17/05 I am not on the shielded list and signed up approx 6 weeks ago)

I had that problem too. I asked customer services and was told to check at midnight when new slots were released for the next 3 days.Never cracked how to book past those 3 days - so I buggered off to Iceland where they had lots of availability. Now got LOTS of food tho not the olives and artichokes I love. But they DID send me a 3.5k bag of potatoes I hadn't ordered...

PS I'm on the gov't Shielding list, mentioned that in the Comments section.

I have done online shopping with Morrisons for years- I am not shielded. When lockdown first began, it took me a week, off and on to find a slot. Now for some reason, I press menu and dates in two weeks time are highlighted. I think there are more drivers employed in my area- this week's fellow was 3 hours early!

Had a couple of Morrison’s deliveries, if you check the calendar it shows a few weeks dates ahead but usually unavailable!
However I found if I persevered ( spent ages) checking the three dates originally shown eventually a slot pops up. the last one was between 6 and 7 a.m. and he arrived even earlier, I unpacked and went back to bed?

Megs36 Fri 08-May-20 10:12:51

PS We are shielded but can’t work out how that info makes a difference..

I can see 3 weeks ahead. I’m not in a shielded group. I have been with Morrison’s delivery pass for years.
Initially I couldn’t get any delivery slots as they were always full but I’ve had one delivery last week and have another booked for next week..
I have a midweek delivery pass.

I log on around midnight on Fridays, and by using the little date forward arrow and scrolling down, can then book a delivery slot for late on the following Sunday, this has worked for the past three weeks.

It seems that only Alishka has had the same problem, i.e., that clicking on the calendar doesn't bring up any more dates for us. It simply shows the message 'we have no more slots available' ! The same happens if I tap the 'next 3 days' button.

I have found no way of getting around this, and have even tried logging in on other devices to see if that made a difference, but it didn't.

Megs36 The reason I asked about shielding is because my mum rang customer services yesterday to ask about this, and was led to believe that it would make a difference to how many available slots she might see (she wasn't on their list but they are now going to add her), but unless we can see slots beyond the next three days, I don't see how it can make the slightest difference!

The reason I asked when people had registered with them for online shopping was in case there had been a glitch in the system at one time which might have led to this problem for anyone signing up right then - though that's a long shot, as I doubt the problem would have persisted!

MamaCaz I experienced your problems when lockdown first started. I know that more drivers have been employed and I now think it depends on which part of the country you reside in.

I was also becoming increasingly irritated because Morrisons were not caring about their "old" customers- ie those of us who have been shopping online for years. That has now changed - I can apparently find a slot when I want. I also have a delivery pass so refuse to pay for weekend deliveries.

Alishka Fri 08-May-20 10:49:41

Well, I just checked again and got the same result, so dunno, just dunno.hmm

MamaCaz Fri 08-May-20 11:33:14

Strange, isn't it!

Why does mum's account only show three days yet her neighbours' three weeks? Unless maybe they have a delivery pass?
Not that you can get one of those now, so they would have had to have had one before, but I think mum would have known if they previously had regular deliveries, as they live opposite her!

Out of curiosity, I just rang my son to see if he/dil are registered for Morrison's - they are, and they can only access three days of slots too!

Alishka Fri 08-May-20 11:53:10

I also wondered if they were prioritizing people registered with Morris and had one of those 'points' cards too perhaps?
I was given one a few years back when my accessible transport for the elderly took me there every thurs. If so, shame I threw it awaygrin

MamaCaz Fri 08-May-20 12:00:27

My mum has had a Morrison's points card for years, and it's the only supermarket she ever uses.
However, she had never been an online customer, and when I registered her for it a month ago, I wasn't asked if she had a card and I can't see anywhere to enter that info on the site.

I’ve tried to get a home delivery from Morrisons the other dayday however they say I’m not on their shielding list so no delivery is coming my way I’ve now got Tesco’s to deliver next day in fact I’m so pleased with them

Alishka Fri 08-May-20 13:05:36

Ahh, gotta register with them as shielded?Okaaaay! I'll send them an email about that, once I've drunk eaten my way through my existing stocks. Thanks for the extra infosmile

Charleygirl5 Fri 08-May-20 13:13:50

I am not registered as shielded and my deliveries are fine- it is weird. I do think it depends on where one lives.

MamaCaz Fri 08-May-20 13:15:08

I'm not convinced yet that it will make a difference, Alishka, but we will see. Nothing to lose by trying though.
BTW - I tried emailing them yesterday but got back an automated email that basically said that they are getting too many to respond to.
However, my mum rang them and got to speak to someone after only waiting about six minutes! (0345 611 6111)

If I have any success, I will post it on here.

I'm not a Morrisons on line shopper but registered as an online customer (not sheltered) at the beginning of the virus emergency. Up to now it was impossible to get any slots, today out of curiosity I checked and if clicking on calendar they show you a longer range that 3 days when delivery is available.

gillyknits Fri 08-May-20 13:28:52

We began Morrison’s deliveries at the beginning of April struggled to get that date but since then there have always been up to two weeks of dates on show. We have a delivery pass and I am registered as shielded.

cornergran Fri 08-May-20 13:47:23

Another one here who can click on the (very small) calendar above the main one and see availability three weeks ahead. I’m not shielded, been a sporadic on line shopper. It could well be area dependent, staffing is difficult in some places I would think. I have no luck at all here with Asda, Tesco or Waitrose. A non-shielded neighbour gets Tesco slots easily. No logic to it at all.

etheltbags1 Fri 08-May-20 13:58:40

I get my slit 2 weeks in advance , however as I don't know exactly what I will need I have to ho back and am end. Mine's with the Newcastle shop.

Charleygirl5 Fri 08-May-20 13:59:18

I live in NW London, have had online deliveries for years and I have never had the same fellow deliver my fortnightly goodies twice. I think there may be more drivers in my neck of the woods.

Alishka Fri 08-May-20 14:12:11

I reckon cornergran nailed it "No logic to it at all" grin
