Ah, it brings a tear to the eye, look at the old place. It’s just as it was on the day we moved out, it’s a bit dusty....cough cough though.

Peardrop50 Sat 18-Jul-20 17:33:30

Chips and roasted magpie, my favourite Carillion

Carillion01 Sat 18-Jul-20 17:41:01

Peardrop, will you crochet me a body stocking in size 50? I need to fit me and Thor in to it, at the same time...and how’s your hangover? ?‍♂️?? xxx

Peardrop50 Sat 18-Jul-20 17:47:30

Bloody Mary took care of the hangover, must thank her later.
I'll crochet a size 52 for you Carillion you might need room for movement if Thor's in there too. Cor, you go girl.

AGAA4 Sat 18-Jul-20 17:48:57

Goth night sounds good. I won't even need to wear make-up.

Lemon. Magpie sausages for me. They're the best.

Carillion. Is size 50 big enough?

Doodle Sat 18-Jul-20 21:32:43

Well our theme nights are doing well. Not sure what is involved in a Whitby Goth nite carillion but I’m up for it whatever it is. I assume the big black bags and circles under my eyes can stay as they will fit in with the black make up. Can I wear a black and purple wig now that lemon’s given my ginger one to Big Jim?

lemongrove Sat 18-Jul-20 22:09:31

Just limping off home now, the last one in lock up as usual.
Am not as young as I was ......although they do say as there’s many a good tune played on an old fiddle.? Mind you, you need to be able to find a bow/beau first!
Since Soop has given up baking and gone off to the South of France with her fancyman, we shall have to get cracking on Sunday and cook up a storm to sell as bar snacks next week.
Monday is usually pie night at the Argy, so am thinking pheasant and mushroom ( the latter are plentiful in the cellar and I reversed over the pheasant on my way here today.) I did try and revive it, naturally.....but no go.Peardrop wanted a service for it and full military honours ( no idea why) so we said a few words, sang Morning Has Broken and saluted.
I told her that it had now gone to a better place.?

Peardrop50 Sun 19-Jul-20 09:53:11

Lemon Thank you for the respect shown to the poor pheasant, I do hope the better place is a nice bit of short crust pastry ready for Monday, licking lips already.

Carillion01 Sun 19-Jul-20 11:08:33

Keep up Doodle. To go to a Goth experience you have to be A VAMPIRE.
(I found this out accidentally but Whitby at anytime is glorious... and we don't eat Magpies!!! Just the best cod and chips in the world. Xxx)

Guide to the Whitby Goth Weekend:-

1 )All of us females from The Argy wear red, floaty clothes, even if it's freezing cold

2 ) All (victims) males wear black suits with high buttoned shirts and patent leather shoes

3) We do what The Argy does best, we seduce gorgeous males, in a nice way, drink their blood, sleep all day then start again, what's not to like???
So now, do you understand? Sending a photo of a famous vampire soon ❤️

Carillion01 Sun 19-Jul-20 12:03:35

I am trying to understand too!,
Sending a photo for you, Doodle

lemongrove Sun 19-Jul-20 12:19:55

Oooh, he’s a looker, and I love white shiny teeth.
However....Am doubtful about the blood drinking bit, as I like a nice ( large) G&T.
How are we getting to Whitby btw? Shall I drive us there in my minivan? I don’t mind walking down to the harbour from the Abbey but I’d never be able to get back up the hill, and you know we can’t park in the centre.
It will have to be park and ride! Will we be cold in our floaty dresses, is a black cloak allowed?

lemongrove Sun 19-Jul-20 12:21:34

No...on reflection, we will stay in the nice warm Argy and pretend to be in Whitby.Carillion will you provide the fish and chips?

lemongrove Sun 19-Jul-20 12:23:57

I have just ordered a job lot of gleaming white vampire choppers to wear on our Nite, and a gallon of Poison perfume. We shall knock ‘em dead...but in a nice way.

Doodle Sun 19-Jul-20 13:02:21

? thanks carillion. Now I understand. I’m off to sharpen my teeth ?

AGAA4 Sun 19-Jul-20 15:55:15

Better to stay in the Argy Lemon as Whitby would lock down to keep us out.

The Argy is notorious famous

Peardrop50 Sun 19-Jul-20 16:04:07

I'll cancel the charabanc then, spare the horses.
Busy all afternoon sewing together scarlet lace bits and bobs. Hope my vampire teeth don't fall in the gin before I've sunk them in to a Whitby fisherman.

Carillion01 Sun 19-Jul-20 17:11:43

AGA ???
Peardrop would you make me a fishnet ensemble please, I need something seductive but with ventilation ??

Once the Whitby Goth gang find out about The Argy we’ll be busy.
lemon, just off to the cellar to put on a few more barrels and do some tasting ??‍♂️??‍♂️

Carillion01 Sun 19-Jul-20 17:19:07

Forgot to mention lemon, yes, I’m sourcing the fish and chips from Harry Ramsden’s Chippery in Mablethorpe (soop’s mobile, in truth) ???

Puzzler61 Sun 19-Jul-20 17:26:39

I’ll put in an order for fish ‘n’ chips please. ?‍♀️
Can I have my fish rare please as it seems soop ‘s cooking is on the burnt side most weekend nights.
Is it due to her liking for Poteen do you think?
Is she doing testing it while she cooks?

AGAA4 Sun 19-Jul-20 17:27:22

Carillion. The fishnet ensemble sounds very tasteful. Just check that Peardrop has removed all the fish. A crab in there could be very painful.

The Whitby Goth gang need to be warned, especially the men.
They will be eaten alive by the ARGY gang

Doodle Sun 19-Jul-20 21:19:01

I’ve found my dress in the attic. Just as you described carillion. Looking good in it too even if I say so myself. I will be the very essence of temptation on the night to lure the Whitby menfolk into my boudoir ??

Peardrop50 Sun 19-Jul-20 22:57:10

Doodle you are a saucy wench, a bit of a siren, I like your style.
Carillion with my sewing skills there will undoubtedly be plenty of ventilation, just hope it's in the right place for seduction. AGAA4 thanks for the warning, it's been a while since I've had to avoid crabs.
Lemon two squirts of poison perfume please, with all the crabs and fish hanging about it I might smell more like poisson than poison.
What are you wearing Puzzler apart from your teeth?

lemongrove Tue 21-Jul-20 18:36:10

Sorry I haven’t been around to take my turn on the cleaning rota, I have had two solid days of interviewing likely candidates for the position of cellarman.
The things I do on your behalf!
Am now exhausted but happy.Have found the perfect person.
Age, indeterminate, but around 45 I would say, with well developed muscles, just right for shifting barrels around.
His name is Achilles, and he hails from Athens. The best thing is, he is cheap! Fifty quid a week and all the poteen he can drink. He starts tomorrow.......be sure to come and welcome him to the bar.?

Doodle Tue 21-Jul-20 21:57:14

Oh come off it lemon. You are never around to do the cleaning.
New barman. Achilles you say, sounds a bit of a heel to me. ?
Greek hmm that could be interesting when we have Zorba nite. Just think of those broken plates. I think he will need close supervising lemon and seeing as you are soooo busy, I will take that on.
Good luck with your sewing peardrop I look for to seeing your outfit,

Peardrop50 Tue 21-Jul-20 22:17:16

Just as well French night was last week Lemon, any mention of Paris might have had Achilles running for the hills.

Doodle Wed 22-Jul-20 19:23:01

So back to this goth night . How many men do you think will come and how many sets of teeth do you think I need
to vamp ( my new word ?) them with ?
