Hello all, and good wishes!

Now, please tell me that I'm not the only one who says aloud responses to some of the tv ads?

For example that one "But how do I keep my mouth healthy?" Uttered by that woman who has been exercising herself into a frenzy. I want to reply " by shutting it, you irritating twit" .

My new favourite is from an ad for over 50's dating.

The add goes along the lines of "When I'm with her, I can't stop smiling" I find myself saying "Get your damn dentures adjusted then!"

anyone else?

Lloyds ad "By Your Side" - me: no you're not, you're bluddy closing branches everywhere.

I’ve found bladder leak underwear that’s actually pretty.

Pretty awful more like.

The nice equity release guy turning up at the pensioners home to fleece them.

***! **, * and ** * *, ******. ****. again.

I think you get the idea?

I so agree about the healthy mouth one. That woman with the stupid grin, her backside vibrating as she mouths ‘Hips! Thighs!’ or whatever, I feel like smacking her silly face!

Oh yes Cg she is so annoying!
Another one, IMO rather dangerous actually, is the Tombola ad: "It's all about community" and "It's the family thing that I like". Because it's not about either, it's about sitting alone gambling online.

I seem to remember when I lived in Edinburgh an ad that started with a question like “Ever longed for a really good haggis?” Actually no.

The WaterAid advert with the peeing cow. That must be the most travelled, diabetic cow in Africa if not the world as it appears in every advert and is always peeing. So when it says ",,,walks miles every day for water" I find myself saying "No she doesn't."

All those parts of my body I have to look after carefully , now its my nose apparently, last week it was my gums which no one notices.

Will being able to pronounce hylaronic acid help; maybe I should learn to spell it first?

Yes, I can easily stand up using only one hand, no hands as well.... and so can you (grumbled to the actress demonstrating 'electric riser armchairs').

Oh Lucca - "Ever longed for a really good haggis?" - that really made me laugh out loud. Thank you!! grin

You know the M & S string of adverts where "This is not just food it is M & S Food". Some years ago there was one of these for Strawberries which were apparently "hand picked in Scotland" to which we always added "by child labour and benefit cheats".

The Over 50's life insurance that says "We pay every claim"
Well you can't exactly quibble when the insured is DEAD!

phoenix Me too. I'm often answering back to those adverts that claim to be so caring of their customers when we all know that basically they just want our money.

On the other hand, some adverts make me laugh. There is one (obviously not that effective because I can't remember what the product is) - the couple sitting in their car, in the dark, in the middle of nowhere with the SatNav saying"you have reached your destination". I can definitely relate to that ad. The same advert includes the woman who has gone to the wrong fitness class and is frantically trying to keep up with the rest of the super-fit class.
